Realise Ronaldo is long past it now but it's great to see so many Arsenal fans still getting stirred up by him!

Honestly thought Portugal were the better team today, but think France are more likely to beat Spain (which is a +1 from me!)

It's not only Arsenal Fans,Ronaldo is also an embarrassment and the coach does not have the balls to drop him. Look at the several aimless free kicks he has screwed up from attacking positions. I would not be surprised to see him trotted out again for the World Cup because Ronaldo thinks it's all about Ronaldo.

I have a Portuguese friend that told me that Ronaldo is undroppable. It’s not the coaches choice it’s just about Portuguese politics. Ronaldo demands to play every minute and he gets his wish. The French were very happy he played as he provides zero threat. 
This Portuguese team has so much talent but playing the bronzed statue every game kills off any chance of them winning the Euros.
By the way Ronaldo has scored one goal from his last 62 free kicks.

Sure, but what people are doing here is blaming all of United's problems on Ronaldo which simply wouldn't be true - and the same goes for Portugal.

Summed up perfectly. Probably after a 0-0 AET, 1-0 in penalties. The fans in the stadium had to be woken up with a loud noise over the tannoy in the 119th minute.

Netherland v Turkey was a good watch. Netherland the better team but kudos to Turkey play with passion and good counter football.

Spain vs France tomorrow. I really hope Spain wins as they have played by far some of the best football seen this tournament. Unfortunately I think that defensive Deschamps will conjure up a way to block the Spanish game. France hasn’t conceded a goal from open play this tournament…..as well as not having scored as well. I could live with a Spain vs Netherlands final…..at least a possibility of some action. But England vs France would be a bore fest.

Can’t see Spain losing the final. They have class and experience in every position. Lamal at sixteen and scoring in a huge Euro knockout game is extraordinary. He seems quite level headed but football has a habit of turning bright youngsters into egotistical dickheads(Mbappé, Bellingham) Cracking game though.

i think it's one of those where I wouldn't give it myself, but I can see why someone else would. Like the commentators said it's subjective. Unfortunate but that's the way it is.

The ref made the right call. He felt pressured by looking at it. I've only seen one ref have the balls to back his original call in that situation (Faghani).

It wasn't a clear and obvious error.

A clean 50/50 challenge, never a penalty. Bookies breathe a sigh of relief.

edit: at the 40th min - Just saw Mandu do exactly the same challenge and it was play on. Is it just me but Saka looks like he's doing a Sean Wright-Phillips type of game? You know, runs around in circles with the ball like he doesn't know what to do with it and in the end  does or achieves nothing.

Cant understand the penalty. So, if I follow through on a shot and I kick someone's foot. Then I am fouled? Shouldn't it be the other way?

It's not the tech that is the issue. It's how it is being used. It should only get involved when there is a "clear and obvious" error by the onfield ref. If the ref makes a call then sure check it to see if he's made a mistake, but, if it's 50/50 like that you dont need to get involved. 

Harry Kane is one of the best penalty takers I have seen.

England are looking the better team but I really hope they score 2 more then the Dutch to stop dodgy VAR call allegations against them.

Crazy to think it's already 10pm there. Not sure how the players can play well so late into the night, especially if this goes to extra time.

VAR truely sucks. The penalty was ridiculous. This is a key high stakes game and it has been slanted by a very very dubious Var call. The Dutch will be furious if it costs them a result.

First half was great fun. Lots of intent and energy. The second so far however, has been pedestrian.

I don’t know anything about Mainoo but he looks like quite the player and seems to be the missing piece in the England midfield. 

Good finish. Looked like nothing but he found the bottom corner perfectly
