In a group that got venue packs and 1/4 final tickets for Wellington.

I want to get a few extra tickets for the 5 June double header (Arg v Austria and NZ v Myanmar) as well as the Wellington 1/4 final. Keep getting allocated seats in the front few rows i.e. not covered - it's June in Wellington i.e. a reasonable chance it will be wet.

Pisses me off that 90% of the stadium is Cat A and there is no differentiation between covered and uncovered. I'd happily pay more and be able to specify covered than have to shag around for the next couple of weeks trying to get covered tickets allocated (we have elderly in our group so it does matter more than it might to others).

Typical FIFA - everything is Cat A unless there is a concrete pillar in front of your seat.

Just venting.

Tried ringing up to see if they can find you seats in the covered section.

Doubt you won't have a problem moving seats anyway. There will be plenty of spares.

did the venue packs include tickets to the quarterfinal? Can't remember.

No, included round of 16, option to buy 1/4s and semi finals and option to go in draw to buy final tickets.

Got my notice of ballot success for the final. Problem is that despite buying 5 venue packs, I'm only allowed to purchase 4 tickets to the final. Anyone out there who doesn't need to get their 4 want to get an extra one for me please.

Yer I agree.  I bought 13 venue packs for whanau and mates and I didn't know the seating plan and the fact that basically the whole of CHCH stadium is Cat A.

I have since bought tickets for quarters and semis for Cat A but it's pretty shark being stuck right in the corner.

So the Venue Packs don't give you Cat. A seating? I remember the advertising wasn't very clear about that.

In that case I'm glad I didn't buy a venue pack.

What category of seating did you get with the venue packs?

The cheaper ticket options don't give you good seats really.

Not quite the whole stadium is Cat. A - all the seats behind each goal are "The Pen" ($21.90 incl. booking fee) - but a crap view.

Admittedly there are not many Cat. B seats - though there are seats at each end of the main stands at AMI which are Cat. B

Even some of the seats at each end of the North Stand further back are Cat. A (and should really be classed as Cat. B in my opinion)

The only way to get decent seats with a decent view of the game is to get Cat. A tickets (as I have - though I could only afford to go to four of the six match days in Chch).

So I just posted in the U20s AW thread that I couldn't find a thread about tickets and here is a whole sub-forum about the tournament.

That's what they told me when I phoned late March. But I haven't received mine yet either.

Do we need to pay a Western Union money order fee for release of the tix?

I bought 5 tickets to the final about 3 weeks ago. Didn't have to enter any sort of ballot. What was the ballot about?

Three for me, and two for them.

If you bought a venue pack you got first chance to purchase final tickets.

Ordered: venue tickets for Wgtn, extra tickets for NZ v Myanmar, tickets for the Wgtn 1/4 final and tickets to the final.

Received nothing.

Not worried - they'll come through.

Would be getting a bit angsty though if I was travelling to NZ and doing a tiki tour before hand - you want to get your tickets well before you leave.

How long is it generally taking for tickets to arrive to people? I bought tickets to the Wellington games on 30 May and 5 June last Friday and they haven't arrived yet.

Bought two venue packs for me & the misses a number of months ago.  They turned up yesterday with the two sets of seats being 1 row and 7 seats apart.  While I'm not complaining, I think I'll be forced to bring it up with Ticketek.

Might be time to check my tickets to see if they're seated together.

My venue packs arrived today ($1000 worth of them, in a wet envelope left in the box) and my seats might not be together either. I've got rows N and P om CHCH so am hoping there is no Row O. I've flicked ticketek a msg to confirm.

Still pissed off about the category B thing.

Weird. All of them are sweet except Northland. The rows and seats are all lined up, but two of them are in the neighbouring aisle.
