As an England fan living in Wellington I'm a bit gutted England ended up in a group playing in Australia, and even all their knockout games if they get through will be in Aus. Have followed them at the last two World Cups and watched all the Euros games earlier this year, plus been watching the Arsenal ladies now the games are on Spark Sport so have become quite invested in a lot of the players much like the men's game (follow them on social media etc). Would have loved to have been able to go to a few of their games. Still technically possible I guess, but a lot more expensive and difficult logistically.

Thanks so much! Just bought tix to most of the Wellington games including the one NZ game, USA vs NED which should be a cracker, 2 Italy games and the R16 and QF! We're going to Europe next year to see my family but we're making sure to come back so we can watch the games!

Apparently the US vs Netherlands game cat 1 area is  unavailable

To bad the semi final is Auckland, that stinks!
25 Oct 03:43
Isn't it interesting that 9/10 of the "low availability" games in this purchase window are in Australia, and the one in NZ isn't even a Ferns game... lol

Why? Agruably NZ is lucky to host a semi, given the size of Australia's popn and bigger stadiums.

I'm sure FIFA and it's sponsors would have insisted any NZ semi was in the country's largest city.

Is Netherlands vs USA cat 1 really sold out?
25 Oct 03:59
I'm guessing they might be holding those tickets back for the US/Dutch fans? I highly doubt they are sold out this early.

Well now that is the only game in NZ with 'low availability', officially.

It wouldn't be a shock to see several thousand US football fans travel downunder.

The USA vs Netherlands game kicks off at 1:00pm on Thursday 27 July and is already showing as low availability of tickets.

Well the Visa presales allocation is sold out which I suspect is only part of the total amount. And there will be some already allocated to official tour packages etc.

grabbed tickets to the NZ/Phillippines game and the round of 16 game at the stadium, pretty straight forward, no fuss.

Yup, that was probably the best experience I've ever had using as ticketing portal - can't wait, grabbed tickets for my partner and I to 4 of the Wellington games and prices were honestly better than expected, thought FIFA might gouge us.

Ticket prices are excellent, and the way they should be. Football belongs to the fans.

Stark contrast to the RWC 2011 where anything quarterfinals onwards was $200+.
26 Oct 22:29
I grabbed Tickets to
 NZ v Norway (Akl)
NZ v Philippines (WLG)
USA v Netherlands (WLG)
R16 (WLG)
QF (WLG)
SF (AKL)

All Cat 2 and 2 tickets to each and think it came to $560 which I thought was really good
27 Oct 04:40
Are we expecting more category 1 tickets to release?

This thread is so full of good energy right now. My ticket buying earlier tonight was quite exciting. Can't get many as finances are a bit miserable but even so.  🙂
Really am looking forward to this event. 🫡🫡
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Is there a particular game you wanted to attend but couldn't?

Not really. I think we're pretty happy with what we've got.

14 games in Australia low availability... really shows that they will get greater attendances and support for this tournament than we will.

FIFA World Cup chief executive Dave Beeche says he has “no doubt” that the Football Ferns will sell out Eden Park for their World Cup opener next year, and has revealed that a travelling army of between 20,000-40,000 American supporters are poised to land in New Zealand.

They should just come in the February international window

Still no cat 1 available for USA Netherlands which is the majority of sky stadium

If there are 20,000-40,000 travelling US fans all the tickets for that game maybe being sold first in USA & Holland, as WC packages?? ie through sports travel agencies or similar??

To be fair as a travelling American fan, you would be angry if not given first option (with the Dutch) to buy match tickets. You'd not be pleased to travel all the way to NZ to watch that game at the Backbencher. Might end being only a small allocation for Kiwis to that match, which is not unreasonable.

Be interesting to see how 20K-40K folks endlessly chanting "USA, USA", are received downunder. Biggest American invasion in NZ, since 1942.

01 Nov 04:17
Not just ravelling fan packages. But you could have possibly 10,000 seats at the big games given to corporates/sponsors/FIFA/prize draws (like Heineken etc).

I looked the very first minute they were on sale and it said “not currently available”.
