2015 Fantasy League (NFL)

You might struggle to make that trade, there are a few good QBs available if people want them. Of course that might be wha you need to do to get enough points each week. Maybe swap him for 2 players

I'm surprised to be winning in both leagues. Thought I was going to lose every game this year (and still might) but it helps someone else has a bad week too agsint me. Tegal is crushing it!

I look to be going 4-1 (Not counting the LM team in Payslaves), but absolutely humped in Yellow Fever Dynasty :(

Ok, so Beckham Jr. for Swarlos hasn't made a yard yet with 10 left in the 4th.

Now I just need Matt Ryan and Kyle Tudolph to have a shocker and Reggie Bush to rack up some big numbers and I'll be fine.

Also Cowboys are about 20-0 in games I want them to lose (nearly all of them).

Should've started Mariota!! What were the odds on a game like that, at the same time as Manning having an absolute shocker. Plus, having a WR scrubbed before the game does not help.

Tegal went nuts. Like, certifiably nuts. How can I score a reasonable 113 points and get my ass absolutely handed to me?

I mean 166.6 is just not reasonable.

DeSean Started, but his hamstring went on his first attempted catch (Was overthrown) and then he left to never return...have to guess it is at minimum a strain, and you'd have to be worried it's a tear.

Dez Bryant is also out for 4-6 weeks...OUCH. (Broken Foot)

Demaryius Thomas could also be out as he hurt his hand, they suspect a broken hand, but if nothing is broken then he will play.

My Tuesday Morning Update

I hope to cover the state of our games, some key injuries, and then the top scoring players at each position (Not K or DST, cause who cares)

Game 1 Waffles vs Uso

I am getting absolutely humped in this one, neither QB did well A.Luck (12.9) & R.Wilson (10.1), it looks like Bishop Sankey (21.6) is the main killer here, Gore (4.1) & Martin (5.9) cancel each other out, of course a huge throw fest in the Eagles vs Falcons game today could completely change this, though I would need 70pts between my 3 WRs White, Julio & Agholor which I can't see happening, if it was 50pts I'd feel I had a shot.

Game 2 Fairies vs Whale

This one looks like a lower scoring match-up, except for the fact that both teams still have 4 players to play in monday Night Football. The amazing thing here has to be that the Fairies are still in this after Peyton scored 1.4pts and DeSean Jackson left the game with an injury without touching the ball. Alfred Morris got an excellent 120yds, I loved that effort, would've been completely different if he got a TD and his score went near 20. Didn't catch a pass which isn't overly surprising. Brady went wild on Thursday night which gave Whale a good lead, but I have no idea on this game now.

Game 3 Billikids vs Paul

These two teams are projected to almost end the week in a dead tie, which is understandable given how close they are right now with the plauers left to go. Jeremy Hill is the biggest effort in this game 19 runs for 63yds & 2TDs, would expect this to be closer to 12pts in future weeks, but is an awesome start. Two further QBs who were a let down in this game as Brees scored 9 & cam newton 9.4pts. Also NEVER play the Browns or Buccs Defenses...

Game 4 Rodriguez vs Troopers

Rodriguez has the edge in this game being ahead by 13 with an extra player left. Matt Ryan should seal this for him in the early game. Ingram, Marshall & Landry combined for 237yds and 2TDs which is what really helped Swarlos to the top in this game, the Broncos D looked good too. The Troopers look to need some WR help with Montgomery, Baldwin & Colston being poor, they have to be happy with the effort from Rodgers, lynch & gronk though.

Game 5 Tegal vs Hammers

This game is done and dusted with a victory to Tegal by over 50pts, this came about with about 4 players scoring 20+ Forte running wild with 141yds, A.Brown with 133yds, Hopkins with 98 + 2TDs & Eifert with 104 +2TDs what an incredible effort. Will be a Top 5 score in our records. The Hammers WRs were a let down as none got over 10pts, if two of the four had cracked 15pts it is then a completely different story, but R.Randle (3.8), megatron (4.6), Cooper (7.2) & VJax (7.6) is just disappointing.

Injuries

TY Hilton (NP) - Knee Bruise - could miss 1-2 Weeks

Dez Bryant (NP) - Broken foot - having surgery, OUT 4-6 Weeks

DeSean Jackson (FAIR) - Pulled Hamstring - Will miss 3-4 Weeks

Andre Ellington (NP) - PCL Sprain - Miss 1-2 Weeks

Derek Carr (FAIR) - Bruised Thumb - OUT next week, MRI will confirm

Josh McCown (FA) - concussion - Questionable (Could see Johnny Football starting)

Demaryius Thomas (FAIR) - Hand - Should Play

CJ.Anderson (HMEZ) - Toe - Should Play

Just working on th Top Players lists, is funny to notice that the Top 25 RBs are the only ones with over 10pts, given we start 2 RBs and 1 WR/RB it is clear that 10pts is a starter, any less is just disappointing. 

I guess so you know in advance my thoughts on Weekly performances.

10pts = Solid Play for RB/TE/WR/DST/K

20pts = Solid Play for QB

If your team is averaging that number of points per game you are set. So basically with 3 WRs & 1 DEF left for my team I would expect 40pts. If a RB/WR gets 20+ points that is an awesome week. 

Here are the tables for top players at this point (Before Mon games)

Looking at those numbers a few things stand out to me:

1) What the HELL QBs? 

• I am used to 10 QBs getting 20pts, and 2-3 getting 30pts, this week has just been a bombshell.

2) TEs went big

• To get a Top 10 performance this week required a TD, that is insane and I have never seen it before, will not happen again.

3) RBs did what I expect

• 25 RBs get 10pts, and the Top 5 get 20pts is my normal expectation

4) WRs Peak about normal

• As with RBs the peak looked about right ~5 players with 20pts or more, though the points seem shallow as only 23 players got 10pts.

Do you have who is in what team against these players?

No, that'd include doing more work :P

Trade done. Traded Rodgers but at least I have a bit more RB depth and my 2nd round pick back. Is it next season yet?

Win in both leagues. Didn't see that happening before season kicked off.

End of Week 1 - Standings Update

Week 1 Scores

Waffles vs Usos - I lost here by 30pts, and you know other than Agholor I can't see how the gap was soo big. Julio scored 30pts, QB I lost by 2pts, I lost on my RBs by about 6pts, WRs I was up by 2.1pts, OH WAIT I lost because of my crappy TE/Def/K choices...total of 10.5pts vs 33.1pts (Down by 22.5)

Fairies vs Whale - Matt seems shocked he took a victory here, the thing is the difference between the teams is pretty much Peyton & DJax not even bothering, if they had achieved normal scores of 27 combined they would've put their team just 4pts back. Murray was saved by two TDs, he was horrible at moving the ball, at one point he was 2 rushes for -9yds, it took 6 rushes before he had a positive line 6 for 1yd & 1TD. Whale look to have RB issues, while at least Fairies know they should improve with the new week as they have points on their bench.

Billikids vs Paul - This game was decided right at the end by Carlos Hyde. He scored 30pts on MNF to get the win for Billikids, Other than QB, Kicker & Defence the Billikids should be happy, all their players did something, even the poor day from AP gave 6pts. Nialls Paul is in trouble though as they lost Ellington, Bryant, TY Hilton to injuries, though Jeremy Hill looked very good. 

Rodriguez vs Troopers - Overcoming the TYroopers start was a miracle, I guarantee across most leagues that teams with Gronk won the majority of their match-ups, starting the week with 30pts in teh TE slot is amazing. In the end the Troopers were hurt by several RB/WRs just not turning up. Bush, Smith, Colston, Baldwin & Montgomery combined for 14.5pts, you would normally expect about 50pts from that group. I think that was the deciding factor as Rodriguez's players did what was expected, McCoy 10.2, Ingram 16.2, Marshall 15.2 & Landry 16.7

Tegal vs Hammers - This was ridiculously one-siided, in no way did I see this result coming, some massive efforts from Tegal's players with Hopkins (28.3), Eifert (26.9), Forte (25.1) & A.Brown (23.8) all scoring over 20pts and only Andre Johnson (4.4) was a letdown. With the 4th highest score of the week Hammers has to be disappointed, their players all did pretty well, especially Witten (22) & Ivory (22.5), R.Randle & C.Johnson were disappointing though, hopefully he can see better from them next week.

Same here - only by the skin of my teeth though. 

Got a feeling we will all just be playing for second place in Dynasty, especially after Tegal's last trade.

One thing I am happy about is Julio Jones, he looked awesome, and I own him everywhere except for Payslaves...(Took Dez then Jeremy Hill there, would normally go Dez/Julio or Hill/Julio :P)

I'm trying to work out what if anything I should do about my RB issues. I don't even really have anything good to train with and wonder if I bother and look at longer term instead.

Well as you had written off this year it might be worth looking at some rookies or 2nd year players who have a shot to get a job in next couple of years, so look at the old RBs in the league - Forte (29), Lynch (29), Gore (32), Peterson (30) are the first 4 that come to mind for me and try and trade for their possible future replacements? Others - Foster (29), J.Bell (29).

So that'd be Langford or Carey, Thomas Rawls(?), Josh Robinson, Jerick Mckinnon, Who knows in Houston, Abdullah

Can probably get the first 5 cheaply, but Abdullah would cost you lots. The other option wouldbe to try and get another 1st round draft pick.

It really depends on how well you think you are going to do this year.  If you think you can make the playoffs etc, then trade youth and draft picks for guys who will help you now.  If you don't think you can make it then, as Jono says, trade for younger guys who have upside and draft picks.

If you are unsure it might be best to hang on a couple of weeks to see how things play out.  I'm hopeful that I'll make the playoffs this year but if by say week 5 or 6 I don't think it'll happen, then I'll probably look to trade some of my better older guys away.

Will be interesting to see how many games and what times they will be on.  I've got the gamepass for this year, but could maybe look to skip that going forward.

I have GamePass, but it is a problem cause I end up using my mobile data :P
