A bunch of recent mocks have the Browns taking Zeke at #8...I really don't understand, why when they have soo many holes elsewhere would they take another RB, where they probably already have one of the better players on their squad as it stands? (Obviously after Joe Thomas & Joe Haden => Clear #1 & #2)
I guess I could see a WR there, but definitely not the other offensive skill positions, I'd be guessing it'll be a LB or DE drafted here by the Browns.

See I get this, BUT in no other year have mock drafts accounted for their stupidity (I also think the new staff will be more sensible, even as nuts as the grouping seems)

Saw that and actually laughed...their current cap space is $3.44m, so as he wants ~$16m per that'd mean that even a 5yr deal with $16m signing bonus $1m salary (2016) wouldn't fit under cap...
So this means no matter what they do the contract will be backloaded, and they'll just end up in even worse cap hell than they already got in because of their contracts with Jimmy Graham, Junior Gallette, Drew Brees, Jarius Byrd (THey also currently have $31m in dead money), So between Brees & Dead Money they use 40% of their cap... (Oh and also if they want to sign all their draft pcicks they would be ~$5m over the cap)

Tom Brady's suspension reinstated, will miss first 4 games of the Season. Only 2 options remain:
1) Petition for it to return to 2nd Circuit & have full court
2) Appeal to Supreme Court (They will likely say no)
The judge in the latest appeal has basically cleared all the open holes, and stated that as Goodell has full discipline powers from the CBA (As agreed by NFL & NFLPA) that the idea he overstepped his authority is just not possible.
I don't agree that he should've got 4 games, but this is the correct outcome, anything other than the punishment being upheld was just going against the agreed CBA rules. Think this is it done now, because even if it gets the full 2nd circuit it is likely that will also go the same wya, and then he'd only have Supreme Court option left.

I have updated the NFL Depth Charts on the first page of this thread. Hope that helps everyone, used a bit of my own thoughts, plus some stuff from twitter during the draft to build these. Jets QB was one spot that confused me, sounds liek Geno might still be the starter unless they sign someone else, but he is really bad so can see Hackenberg, who isn't much better beating him out in the preseason.

FAIR Warning, Free Agency will close when the Rookie Draft starts, on ESPN it will still be available, but because of the changes I need to make for the Expansion draft I will be reversing any free agency moves, you can still make trades though. Iirc this outcome was the original idea of snaking the order. It made the expansion teams too strong. Other variants were then tried, and am sure we settled on the one I posted above as being the fairest for all. the expansion teams ended up middle to lower middle, while everyone else kept the strength of their squad about the same relative to everyone else (according to average ADP).
Thanks guys, still crapping myself over who I'll be losing, but it's not quite as bad as I thought.
Just an FYI to everyone, I have thought about the roster cuts being after the rookie draft and realised it doesn't actually make sense, as if I force the teams back to 28 man rosters and then go about the expansion draft then some teams that had say 33 players before the expanison, but had to cut 5 players may end up below the new roster size of 25 players, even though they would've still been above it if they had their drafted rookies.
SO I am going to move that deadline til after the expansion draft. So as soon as we have completed the Rookie Draft I will compile a spreadsheet with the Rosters as they stand, and start emailing each of you for your protected player lists (I will send the roster list sorted by ADP - Hopefully May ADP), once I have an answer from everyone then I will start the expansion draft.
Then once the expansion draft is finished I'll ask for player cuts from any team that needs it.
