Bloody hell just had another cracker! North QLD got 1st and I got 2nd.

I lost the first leg at home 2-0 and the team was playing crap. Had a bit of time before the next game so arranged a friendly with Newcastle to get the confidence back. Won that 2-0 with the team looking more confident.

See Macalister missed a penalty then Zullo got the ball back on the rebound and won another penalty. Mac finished it to put the Nix in the lead in the tie and eventually win.

My team is looking bloody strong this year.

In FM 09, I signed Juninho Pernambucano as a coach, shortly after he retired as a player, whilst managing Phoenix. Signed him mainly as a technique-based coach, was fantastic.

Well I think I've mastered my coaching, got all 4 1/2s now.

What is the deal with signing players who want to be coaches? Do you have to wait until they announce retirement?

yup, had to wait till greenie retired to hire him as an asst manager.

Its a shame their isn't a private chat option to tell players they're welcome as a coach. Only that you think they should be a coach.

Love raping the Aussie State Leagues and NZFC for really decent Conference players. I generally load all Australian and Kiwi players as there are so many bargins to be had.

Yeah.  Loaned Cruse but he got injured just when he was firing.

Just made a major change in formation and a hat trick in 18 minutes has done it.  Major change for the win!!

Cruse is avaliable for literally AU$90 if you want to own him outright.

Also, I'm absolutely struggling at the back. Got Imray in goal but can't find anyone decent enough infront of him, particularly in the CB positions. Suggestions?

Gope-Fenepej or Longue.  Harry Hogarth?

Cruse - Not sure he'll fire in the BSP and I've got way too many players.

They're both New Caledonian so maybe they don't always get added every time.  I found them because I'd had Gope-Fenepej in the last 09 game I played.

Right, started a New game as BSN favourites Alfreton. Currently their squad is absolute sh*t but I have been given $1600 a week in wages (after adjusting the slider to a $0 transfer budget). Currently they're spending $12.5k p/w so I have about $3.5k to put together a first eleven.

I have 4 players, all on upwards of $800 who are unlikely to get gametime. I have offered them out as free transfers but no luck. If I terminate there contracts how much of a hit will it free up my wage budget?

Brindley is my assistant.  Yeah your funds will take a hit but it will free up on the wage budget.

Interesting. That would take Bryan Little completely out of the game, but would also allow Pritchett to play in a more natural RB position. Although, Little could move into the mid which would in turn eliminate my need for another CM (at least until someone gets borked).

Luckily got all my signings done in time cause I've just been placed under a transfer embago.

Just finished my first season and won the league by 11 points. Ellensohn scored 25 goals and won golden boot along with BSN player of the year.

For my second season in charge I've been given a budget of $19,000. Have gotten rid of alot of deadwood and so am currently spending just $11k. This means that I can get up to $385,000 by adjusting my sliders.
