FM 11

Done a season with my new database. I was Spurs as they have a good current squad. I didn't do too  well in the Enlglish cups, going out of the FA cup and league cup at the 4th and 3rd rounds respectively.
The PL was a different story however. I started well playing 4-5-1 with VDV playing off a striker. I was undefeated but had many draws. I then changed to 4-4-2 with defoe and crouch up front. They killed other teams with Crouch's size and Defoe's speed and racked up many goals and assists between them. On the wings Lennon was awesome but Bale was amazing getting a 7.5 average over the season getting young player of the year. Baines and Jagielka were signed in January to strengthen the squad. In the end I finished second to Chelsea by 10 points who did well with Torres and Drogba up top.
In the champions league I got an ok group with Milan the main opposition, who I drew with twice. The knock out rounds gave me a good draw as I got Dinamo Kiev the Marseille, who were beaten. In the quarters I got bayern, who had a very good team. Luckily players like Lahm and Ribery were injured so I just got through to the final. The final was against Chelsea, winners of the FA cup and the league. I was amazed when Lennon scored first, so I parked the bus for the rest of the remaining 90 and I managed to win!
Second season starting and sold off a lot of deadwood like jenas, hutton, keane and the old chronies like gallas woodgate and king. Managed to sign Neymar and Tevez for 38mil, who was unhappy at City.

Bought the game of trademe yesterday, can't wait for it to arrive tomorrow!!

My god the German 5th tier is rank.

WSM in the Championship now, hovering mid-table but a stunning FA Cup run has me through to the semi-finals having turned over Man U, Everton and Arsenal all taking replays.

All in front of a sellout crowd of 3000 every week and a side with an average age of twelve (22 actually but still).

I gave up, and deleted my Alfeton save during the Championship as it was getting slow, and in all honestly a little boring. Gutted I did it now.

Crikey.  Slipped in to last spot in the play-offs, beat Fulham.

Now have Wigan at Wembley on Wednesday and Liverpool in the FA Cup final 4 days later.

Yikes!

No idea.  If the league is tagged as semi-pro you might be f**ked.

In my first season, halfway through as per the screenie above.

5th tier in Germany has about 12 regional leagues. Each league has 2-3 pro teams and the rest are semi pro. As you can probably gather, Emden and Goslar the the pro teams in my league.

What leagues you got loaded?

How hard are Work Permits in Germany?  Raid the NZFC?

England to League 2. France, Spain, Italy, Brazil, Australia, USA, Egypt (all top flight only).

Not sure about work permits. NZFC might be a goer though as pretty much all NZ players have been retained. I almost signed an Aussie reject (this bloke) as a free agent though but pulled out to avoid garnering a very high wage bill. Signing would have gone through without any fuss though so hopefully same rules apply for NZ players.

My game only lets me go to German 3rd division.  Have you set that up or is it a patch?

Have to play at Bristol Rovers for a while while they do the work but that should make a HUGE difference to my finances.

That would make it hard for me to get a judge of what quality player might join you...

I've signed about 7 players so far with 3 more due to join during the winter break, that should get me comfortably through till the off season. All of them on free transfers bar one (some 30 year old keeper from the tier above). We have a local rep if that is any help.

Also on Woodspring Park in the Prem, you might wanna expand that parking lot...

It's an extra data file (or editor data file, either way an EDF). Plenty of them floating around including a few NZ hatchet jobs that i've seen on various FM sites.

What's the highest salary it will let you offer?

My game reckons Allan Pearce or JP would sign for you and they are WAY better than anyone you have now from what I can see.

From a quick look just about every Pacific Island or NZ player would be better than most of the squad.

Assuming your load game is similar.

They are, and that says something. That's why i had to make all those free transfers to start with, just to compete. Still, makes it all the more challenging.

My wage budget is �5,500 and i'm operating around �2,500 at the moment, so plenty of room to sign someone like Pearce. Can't sign any coaches yet though as they all demand wages that are about 4x over my maximum staff wage (cue rage).

Just completed my first season with the Nix, finished 7th, missed out on the playoff's on goal differential. Toto was the standout player of the season, voted Foreign Player of the Year by the Managers

Ideas on who I should be? Want someone either on the cusp of Promotion or Europe.

I'm Leicester. Absolutely loving it!!!! They have Yakubu on loan who scored about 33 in 39 Championship games for me. They also have Bednar and Kirkland on loan. Good championship standard players. Not a bad budget. Picked up Owen Hargreaves and Michael Owen on frees at the end of the first season. As well as Nicolas Medina for 500K from Osasuna and several other mean transfers for my first season for Premier League. Can't quite remember who as I haven't played for a couple of months.

Well i got sacked from the Osterholz job. Where to now i wonder?

Just come from the German 5th tier, don't fancy another pub league game. So thanks but no thanks.

Decided to return to an old FM favourite of mine.

Second season with the Nix, finished top of the league. Then all 7 of my NZ players in my squad got selected to play an international on the same day as the first leg of the major semi-final agaisnt CCM, and I had to choose a squad mainly out of youth players. So frustrating.

Finding it too easy to get sacked in this game. Starting to become a real drain.

Just don't set the highest goals. They don't usually give you that much more money to spend anyway.
