Ouch for the Usos, a loss in Week 1 with the 2nd highest score in the league.

Well Megatron gave me a little respectability with his 31.5 points but it was still a humbling defeat. Getting the lowest score in the league while having Carlton Palmer scoring 20 points while on the bench for me makes me look a little bit stupid.

Anywhoo - onwards and upwards.  I would not like to be in Swarlos Rodreiguez's shoes right now.

Feel sorry for Mos Eisley Troopers... Lost Rice for the season now.

Yup, had to drop him. Trying to pick up another player now but waiting for the wavier to update September 10th their time. Not sure how it works but it's all a bit of good fun (apart from the 'bashing a lady in the lift' stuff).

Waivers will play through about 7:30pm tonight, in reverse order of standings.

When you do them, instead of dropping a player, just go to Add, and then it only drops them if you add a player :)

So whoever is first on waivers gets their first choice, and so on until the end of all.

I'll try and get some sort of report out today on the results to this point, sorry got no motivation for anything right now.

Also will get a spreadsheet going keeping League records as well :) Top scores etc :) Front page will be updated with the standings shortly.

I probably have the lamest waiver claim in, so even though am 10th in the waiver order I'm pretty confident of winning (?) it.

You only win it if no one else has it as their first...

If it is one of the young RBs, WRs who did well this weekend, or a TE you're out of luck. If it's something else you'll probably get it.

haha yep hence I'm confident in getting him.

There's another guy I'm tempted in but is in a position that I don't really have a need. Doubt I'd get him anyway.

Could just put in a secondary claim, sometimes I put in up to 10 claims, just with aim to get a player or 2 I want :)

It's more that I don't know who I'd drop to get him.

Yeah that is an issue...Is similar for me as I NEED a Tight End this week, and had to decide on a drop...

Not sure others care much about college football, but I'm a big college football fan (Loving having so many games on Sunday here) and this guy has created great desktops for you computer. I got the Virginia Tech one.

This one...

Of course it's strange. I'm oblivious...

I'm making the most of the 'not sure what I'm doing' excuse while i can still claim it.

Until next year and then who knows?

You got yourself a very good TE there :D

Now to come up with some awards for the League.

1) Championship

2) Wooden Spoon #AvoidTheSpoon

3) Division Champions

4) MVP

Weekly awards

1) Top Score

2) Lowest Score

3) Most TDs

Anything else that someone thinks could be good, or fun, I will try to think of some fun awards going forwards as well :)

Gronk is possibly worth more than what I got, but I was pretty desperate for a RB.  And I'm also going to invoke the Leigbo excuse off not really knowing what I'm doing as well (especially when it comes to player values).

I thought this was an appropriate Yellow Fever Championship Trophy...

What about top season scorer, or is that the MVP?

On reverse, lowest scorer (must play min of 5-8 games)?

MVP would be the best player of the season....

The weekly awards are all team based :)

Could do Top scorer & Low scorer player awards too I guess :) (Could also do Team Season scoring ones)

Well you stole my pick for the running back. I was trying to get Justin Forsett too. Got a new TE though.

I do like the schedule in that you're never waiting more than 2 days for a game.

Makes the week bloody unproductive though!

Monday - plenty of football.

Tuesday - Monday night football

Wednesday - assess performances, enjoy a win/agonise over a loss. Take a look at any waiver claims you wish to make before they all come off waivers at night.

Thursday - set your lineup, look over any dropped players from the waiver claims yesterday and decide if you want to claim any of them.

Friday - football.

Who needs to work/study really?

Boo.... I'm a Virginia Tech supporter as my Sister in Law went to college there. Friends I know support the Ducks and Longhorns. I really like college football and when I referee'd it here in Welly, they played College football rules instead of NFL rules.

Or I could support Notre Dame (Harrison Smith), or Georgia (Blair Walsh) two of my favourite Vikings :)

PS loved the Smith Pick 6 on Sunday (I have his Jersey making it even better)

Everything. The only fan of ND is ND alumni. There is a whole history of ND and how they are independant and have there own TV rights etc, quite interesting reading.

Might have to have a read now. Chances are I will select the Sooners (I have a couple of friends living in Oklahoma as well :D)

Yeah, always a bit nice to have some sort of tie to the team. I'll start keeping an eye out on Sooners results then!

Waivers is going to be fairly important in this league I feel. How many players do we keep at the end of the year? As many as we want or is there a set limit of say 20 to make sure there can be a functional draft?
