Anyone made Sanchez or Griffths? Not sure what stats to give them but I want Wellington to be as realistic as possible
If you download the latest squads sanchez is in the squad.

No, they release two updates. One after the start of season transfer window, and one in January.
what about how the opposition will get the ball, you close in for the tackle, he turns and starts running away back towards his own goal, then after some time he just turns and kicks all in one motion and happens to land it on one of his players feet from 60 yards away without even looking up
yes i do believe so
Going to get my copy on the weekend. So can you take the Nix out of the A league and put them in the lower leagues of say England??
Interesting way of looking at it... I may try this..
I've just done this today. I put the Phoenix in League 1. Going to go and try get to the Premier League then the Champions League.
question how do you put the nix into the league one, have been trying to work it out whether you do it on the game itself or you have to create a tournament, any help would be much appreciated
What I found with the game is that World Class was unbearable but after I changed some of the sliders in settings it is a lot easier as you can alter how the AI play the game and how accurate your passing and shooting is.
I also find that playing on semi pro is to easy but then going to prof it is quite hard.
I am getting incredibly frustrated with this game, It is so hard to tackle. It is like the take the piss out of you. You can't out run any one even if you are fast and the other player is really slow. Also I feel like when you are one nil up the other team plays so muc
You have to work the 'tactical defending' pretty hard to be effective, that involves calculated button mashing, esp knowing when to add pressure with a second man and also knowing when to switch players.
Agree that I can do fine on semi but find it real hard to score on pro with even players/teams.
Still, much more of a challenge than fifa11, which I'm liking!
Its in settings under customise fifa.
How do you change that?
Heres some information about it

You do it when you go into career mate.
Sorry if this is a obvious question but where do you move teams when you start off the career mode ?

When you go to pick your team, It comes up down the bottom with Swap team Push triangle and swop them with another team in the league you want to be in

After playing six or so seasons in virtual pro mode I tried to switch back to manager mode... and it was disastrous. I guess if I practice a bunch I can become effective again, but even with the changes I realise that I hate defending. You switch to another player and unless you have shifted the stick to their precise direction they'll stop or slow down and the striker just breezes past them. Add to that I'm so used to the pro camera that I can't see space from the tele cam unless it's a country mile's worth and I just can't be bothered with it.
i got into the be a pro mode thing on the 2010 world cup game and enjoyed it. have yet to do it on a fifa title. you would recommend?
Answer this, Why is it whenever I play in a career mode. And play week to week my players are really fatigued??
what about how the opposition will get the ball, you close in for the tackle, he turns and starts running away back towards his own goal, then after some time he just turns and kicks all in one motion and happens to land it on one of his players feet from 60 yards away without even looking up
The fatigue thing has been a problem in Career mode for years, though to be honest I've not noticed it so much in FIFA 12 since it seems they abolished the backroom staff. It is still an issue in Be A Pro though, I try to be involved but it means I'm missing every third or fourth game because I'm too fatigued.
In terms of 'skinning' defenders if you are trying to outpace a defender right next to you, chances are they're holding onto your shirt which slows you down significantly. I have noticed that the AI seems to run into each other far less often than your own players. Perhaps because of this I noticed that on Semi-Pro you can break through defensive lines like they're standing still, but on Professional it's near impossible to break away from them. Figure it's the shirt pulling stuff.
On the Be A Pro subject btw, I like that you can be a keeper now but it seems that unless you're watching the action and constantly telling your team where to pass you can get really low match ratings when you don't see much action. I make two or three good saves, keep a clean sheet and get a 3.8 rating.
Still these are all niggles really, I'm still enjoying it.
--edit--
Oh and Gold Coast won the first virtual A-League or whatever it's called where it averages the XP gains of the fans of each club. Phoenix were sitting consistently second.

How do you make your keeper dive when facing pens?

Excuse my ignorance but don't EA only provide an update for PS3 and XBOX after the January transfer window????

No, they release two updates. One after the start of season transfer window, and one in January.
When I did the update, it kept freezing at 100%, looked it up and apparently the only way to fix it is to get rid of your stadium names. I redid the stadiums for every leauge and now I have to get rid of them!
So I was playing career mode as virtual pro, the clause on my contract was 'never fall to reserve status', which seems kind of odd since even if you choose to start in Barcelona or Man U you're immediately in the starting lineup... but anyway - I ran my dude ragged in the first couple of games, then got an email from the manager saying "you're too tired, sit the next game out". I didn't think anything of it till the end of the season where I was dropped from the team (Nottm Forest) because I had sat some games out for being too tired. I was top scorer and top assists in the team from midfield, won promotion to the premiership and was still dropped/released!
So yeah, fair warning if you want to be a career man at one club - don't run yourself ragged :P
Yeah that's one of my main turn-off points. They stand there playing one-touch or possession football until you get fed up with the ball watching and make a move, at which point they go "LOL kidding", sidestep you like you're a retarded butcher's dog, and pick out the player intelligently running into the space you just left.
Try the same thing as a centre mid, and watch enraged as your winger and full back stand in place going "s'cool bro, you got this".
We won the League! We won the League! We won the League! We won the League!
Start a player career with Rojas, he grows so rapidly. I got him up to 70 while in my first season at the Victory, then signed with Tottenham where he is now 72 overall about halfway through the season!
my god this game is frustrating, i must miss about 4 or 5 one on ones a game, the computer keepers are just unbelievable. so f**king annoying though.
in career mode ive got guys that play 60 mins then take 2 weeks to get back to being fully fit, bloody annoying
failing pretty hard in my career mode as manager of the phoenix. signed a heap load of players to improve the squad but drawn 2, lost 2 and sitting bottom of the table playing on pro difficulty.
:/

Did some research on sliders, i've tried these settings here and put my game speed on slow and its well playable/even on Pro difficulty.

Chance creation seems a lot better (I use my own custom tactics too), and the opp actually make mistakes on passing.

ps3
ps3
the more i play this the more problems in notice and the worse it gets
That is exactly what I was thinking
Anyone got it on PC? If so, any good? I might grab it at $49, good price.
Yeah it's pretty good on PC, certainly a lot better than any of the previous years... in fact a number of gaming sites have said that the PC version is better since it has all the features (finally) of the console versions but load times are virtually non-existant. If you get it on PC though you should still use a gamepad, I tried it out with the keyboard controls and it was woefully hard.
I have been playing Be A Pro Career mode and my biggest problem with the AI is that the opposition defenders seem to have lightning reflexes and are aggressive in the tackle whereas my teammates stand back and ball watch while the opposition passes the ball around the fringes of the box. It often forces me to retreat and make tackles and frequently give away fouls which can be frustrating. I'm playing on World Class difficulty and it seems kind of unfair when I have to work hard to get into a position to slot a good through ball yet the opposition frequently clear to players already making runs beyond the defense.
Anyway - had a tough time of it with Roma's 4-3-3 formation (in midfield), now that I transferred to Sunderland's 4-5-1 I'm doing a bunch better.
Been thrashing out career mode as manager lately, up to year 2023 or something.
spent 3 seasons at the nix, won the league and the grand final in my last year.
got offered a job at stevenage in league 2, straight up to league 1, then again to championship, where i struggled for a few seasons until a few of my scouted youth players came good (real good), just been promoted to the prem.
interesting point though, and its happened to me several times, especially if they have been promoted up with the team, if their contract expires they get really greedy for a big wage, for example signed a kid at 16 on a 5 year deal, 1,000 pounds a week, when it expired he turned his nose up at 17,000 a week. let him go, then pick him up as a free agent next season for 12,000.
the moral of the (really poorly told) story being dont re-sign players until after they are free agents and save yourself bags of cash.
and scout goalkeepers, sign the ones with potenial around 80, then sell them as soon as they are in your senior squad for about a mil, sweet money making scheme

So instead I've gone player-manager with my virtual pro, and I think it's the best of both worlds. I get to stick to playing just one guy in midfield and can do all my recruiting myself. Add to that I can now sub myself off when my pro gets tired, can modify team tactics and playing style on the fly and my AI defenders do a bunch better than I can and I'm happy with this mode.
Does anyone else play the 'be a pro' mode much?
