FIFA 2009

Demo September 11 for NG and September 12 for PC.

I was told that they weren't making EA Sports titles for PC anymore by the guy in the Gamesman, maybe he meant after 2009.

Thats pretty average, from a gaming perspective do you think the next gen after PS3/Xbox 360 will replace pc's? I mean thats pretty much what they are now huh. However I suppose the prob is the ability to make games on Blu-Ray vs DVD, Blu-Ray's always going to win.

Will fifa 09 on nintendo ds be any different to it on ps2?

Fifa 09 comes out on PSP i think.... one thing for sure is that the graphics are 10 times better on the 360 and PS3 then they r going to be on the PSP and Ps2

Picked mine up.  Going to get a trashing over the weekend.

Hopefully they've fixed the a-league up.

Pro's: Graphics = Good compared to last year on PC.

Cons: My PC struggles to run graphics at good level and so have to play on low

Whats his potential looking like? In 07 he was the next henry, in 08 he was a slow developer, hopeing 09 he'll be the english wonder kid

i dont know about potential, they don't have those graphs anymore. but, his overall is 79-80 at the start of the season and about 15 games in his overall has moved up to 82 so im thinking he will grow very quickly.  

Well i just played FIFA 09 on PS3 last night and some of today. All i can say is although it's improved it's still far behind Konami and Pro Ev.

 Graphics look superb (it's in HD i believe), but apart from that and of course all the usual EA licensing it's Gameplay is still sub par. The first touches in the game are dreadful, You can barely ever win an attacking header, offsides are all too frequent and scoring goals are sometimes akin to getting blood out of a stone. Defending seems to be easier, but that's no fun is it?

All in all i'd probably score it a 6/10. Looks better than any FIFA game i've played before but still some major flaws in the Gameplay that won't keep the lads at Konami awake at night.

what pro evo game have you been playing buffon? the last one was pathetic, fifa 09 is a great game.

picked up yesterday and have had no trouble scoring goals, practice for a few days then will head online and see where everyone else is at.

I did miss in 08 the "training ground" having the wall to practice your FK's with. i know you can take them in the "arena" but you loose the advantage of bending over or around the wall!

Does the commentator actually say the a-league players names this time

It's funny how some PES fanboys still haven't realised that PES2008 was a piece of crap and PES2009 is looking similar. FIFA is definately the best football game now.

Whenever you get the ball just shoot, its easier to score from 30 metres than 2!

Long shots are a bit easy, score and concede some crackers!
