Has anyone recreated Chiefy's tactics with the Nix in FM?
I've had a go on FM23; here's what I've got.
I guess the only thing to cover would be sometimes there are 4 at the back and 3 central midfielders. Not sure how the team instructions change between those two situations though.

bought it a little while back, playing Wrexham - cos you know you have to.
Will give the nix a go, once the player list updates to include Salas

I might have to take my laptop down to the training and ask Cheify for some help in setting up a Nix scenario!!

That's class. I feel like he adjusts his setup game-to-game far too much for me to keep up with if I ever did a Chiefy-inspired save haha

Having a bit of fun with league packs in my first real save since FM24. Started off in Afghanistan, then jumped the border to Pakistan for a season (found it so boring I resigned).

My rep was so low that it took me a while to find a job I wanted, but eventually I found a relegation-threatened team in the German sixth tier. Took them to third in my first season, and after some lower tier Saudi offers I moved up a div to Stadtallendorf who had just been relegated.

Got the boot there within a few months after spending big for fudge all results, but fell on my feet and instantly got the job at Differdange (a top team in Luxembourg) who had fallen on hard times being in the relegation zone in December. Loving it there, pulled clear of the lower table scrap and now challenging for Europe.

I havent signed any Kiwis just yet, but Stamenic is currently wanted by Bayern, Leipzig and Inter... Chris Wood's winding down his days in the UAE, Alex Paulsen made a big move to Millwall, and Joe Bell is at Olympiakos. Waine, Singh and Cacace still at their original clubs.

Most importantly, though - the Nix only went and won the A-League. After finishing second in 23/24 (hopefully not a sign of things to come), they did the double in 24/25. Nine Kiwis in the starting lineup, and no Aussies (import GK and striker)

edit: needed to fill a void at RB as I challenge for continental qualification, so I've gone and got Callan Elliot! He hadn't been able to make the leap to Europe so had spent the last couple of seasons at Olympic

it's 2026 and Bazeley's just called up Jai Ingham, Moses Dyer and Elliot Collier to the preliminary World Cup squad - only three players under 23 (Bindon, Surman and LKH). Old habits die hard

All Whites drawn in a WC group with Italy, Switzerland and Australia and they finish bottom. Start off with a very one-sided 1-0 loss to the Aussies, get smacked 3-0 by Italy, and salvage a 0-0 draw with Switzerland for our only point. Zero goals scored (Wood having an absolute stinker of a tournament, averaging a 6.4) and Bazeley's out the door.

Only silver lining is the Aussies didn't make it out the group either

A reminder that FM24 is currently free to keep.

I started a Nix save yesterday, not before doing a little fiddling in the editor by upping PA of a lot of young kiwis, Paulsen fudge it 200PA.

Should have had a look at some of the older players, Payne has been hard done by (who is doing the research?) he's slower than Ball and LKH (acc and pace) when IRL he often records the top speed in games for the 'Nix.

Looks like FM25 won’t be released until November. Also, it wont have international manager in it. Which, I am completely fine with.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

There's a few features that are not going to be in FM25 - shouts for one.  I am interested to see what the game is like in the new engine and can totally see how some features won't be ready in time, but think FM24 will tide me over for the foreseeable future.

International management has never really worked in FM. There just isn't enough to do to keep you interested, nor hold your attention span long enough.

Three for me, and two for them.

They do intend to bring it back in a new and improved form over the next couple of game cycles, they just don't want to include half arsed features in the game anymore and they very understandably didn't have time to revamp it this year with all of their efforts focused on entirely remaking the game in a new engine.

This is the same with shouts which while obviously have great potential, 'praise' when you're winning and 'demand more // encourage' any other time isn't exactly the most exciting gameplay.
