2 years ago I was 10th with two weeks to go.... blew out completely.

I was checking my team every hour on the hour. It became all consuming.

Good luck to him!

Could be a good idea for Nix to give him season pass or offer him a lounge pass or something- good publicity...

Though LG's comment may have nothing to do with this thread...

In now!!

Have had good seasons before but gave up 2 months in last season after an atrocious week.

Going to keep on plodding away this season irrespective to the end however and see if I can crack the 100k.

About 10 years ago I was third heading into the final 2 weeks. Blew out completely and haven't made the top million since.

Wow, that must have been highly stressful.

Where did you end up coming that season?

It hard when you get that high,  do you take the risks and push for first and risk blowing out or play it safe and try for top 10?

My top finish was top 5k
Was 2nd in japan with a few weeks to go and thought screw it go for the win. (Was 1500th in the world)
Blew my rank out a bit.

Imagine pressure would be massive in  that top 10

Anyone starting with Wood this season?

I wouldn’t normally go there as I can only see him and Forest regressing this season but

There seems a shortage of strikers and Solanke is injured at that price point.

Fixtures are also ok

The pressure certainly got to me... I had a couple injuries as well in my 'squad' at the time and I remember debating taking the points hit to bring someone else in etc and just going back and forth on every decisions.

It was kind of a relief when week 37 everything went to crap - player got sent off, strikers shot blanks by memory. Bit hazy on the next part, I'm pretty sure once I bombed out after that week, I didn't play the final one. Was over it.

Was looking forward to the winners watch in particular!!

I had wood for large parts of last year, but not in my team atm.   Prices feel good this year, hard to make a good team

Also had wood gw 1 last season and he didn’t leave. Looks like forest playing two up top so will be interesting to see how that affects him. I’m tossing him up with the likes of Bowen, Pedro and mateta. Potentially wissa an option if he goes to Newcastle too

I’m going to go with Pedro down to his fixtures, he is currently number one and ownership.

But I think he will only be a 4 week pick, before I jump off to hopefully Solanke, once I see him playing. I can’t see the Pedro love continuing

Salah will stay in my time till he departs for Afcron.

Almost have to go salah like we used to with Haaland, just to future proof ourselves from big rank drops.

No Haaland or Salah for me this year to start with. Have loaded up on goal scoring mids and attacking full backs.

Hoping for Saka and Palmer to have a great start key for me.

Fair play I may do the same, you taking a look at centre backs/mids with the new defensive contributions ?

A little, it makes smaller team players more attractive, especially teams that play on the counter.

Man City will get more clean sheets, but because they hold such high possession stats I can't see their backs and DMs getting the defensive contribution points etc.

Thought my squad was settled for some time, but ended up making 4 late transfers today!

Season kicks off tomorrow so still time for people to make their team tonight and enter the game and then the YF league.

Everyone still in?

Interesting start, but can’t complain too much with late captain points in each of the first four rounds and a decent score last week to creep into the top million.

Playing first chip this week so will hopefully see a green arrow.
