Sorry for the necro-bump. Looking at getting a Subbuteo set, is it better to get a modern set or a used vintage one from eBay? The modern ones seem to get some pretty bad reviews on Amazon, etc.
i prefer the vintage ones but i am an old bugger and used to play them them when i was young.what is a full set worth on ebay these days? there was a fair bit of subbuteo stuff on trade me a while ago but have not looked lately. i may have a few spare teams i would sell as i do not use all of them.
just had a look on trade me there is one vintage set on there for 75 bucks with a couple of extra teams.
Ebay ones seem to range from £12 - £30. Postage better via Youshop for those I think. Will keep an eye on the Trade Me one, if it had a Buy Now I'd grab it.
ask the person to put up a buy now, if no one else has it on their watch list they might be keen.
