Should be fixed by domain switch over tonight. (or so I'm told)

Actually was all fixed within 10 mins of me last posting.. but then I got logged out for the first time in ages so I had to change password to get back here and I gave up, dinner phone stuff you know.. ..; is all good now.

i keep getting logged out while i am reading the forum. then the next time i come to the forum it says i am already logged in, then a few moments later it tells me i am a guest and need to log in. happened last night and also this morning.

The 'On Tour' tab is annoying as hell. It replaced the 'Froum' tab so i keep on clicking it then having to click back then click 'forum'. So many wasted seconds.

small comment, I think the homepage links used to open the link in a new tab by default and doesnt look like it does that anymore

Sorry, grumble time :(

Haven't been on here in a while. Still not used to this forum. It's the in-your-face yellow on yellow, the big bold font I guess. My stupid brain just gets a bit lost in a way that never happened before the revolution. I dont easily know what are stickies, posts, or announcements. Plus having to trawl through threads that are now years old to get to new, relevant content. 

I feel like I have to be constantly active on the forum, and spend a great deal of time on the forum to avoid all that. Which is something that I can't do due to life and work and life and family and not being a computer and going outside etc.

I still listen to the podcast, and enjoy and appreciate it! But this new design is really taking a long time to grow on me.

Sorry to have a bit of a whinge. I am but one user. Never-the-less, reasons why this casual visiting nix watcher rarely visits this site anymore :(

where are the video links on the home page gone?

i liked having the tv3 videos there - actually a lot harder going to their website

How hard would it be to subscribe/unsubscribe to certain subforums for the active topics section. And perhaps a 'mark all as read' to get rid of the "X new posts" on all threads. 

Would help solve some of those problems if it were easy enough to implement. 

Understand what you're saying with the design; I'm really not a designer and am just following what's come before me. It's one of those things that may not be everyone's cup of tea. We've talked about options for this, including minimal colour schemes etc, but again it's quite time consuming to maintain two different designs. Do you have a smart phone by any chance?

In terms of the stickies/announcements etc - what could we do to make those more obvious? Is there a better icon set around? 

I'm working on better ways to always intelligently go to a "last read" position in threads.

In terms of the preview - yep, we're not automatically linking that URL, but I can't see any other issues?

So yeah, long story short, I hear you, we'll get there. Important that we make many small changes rather than doing another huge upheaval.
