Ha. We beat Jordan, in Jordan, with 10 men for most of the match.

Still very unlikely that Aussie won't qualify. The group has had tons of draws, so only Japan has a break on the pack.

Group B

JAPAN  -  Played 4, 10 Points
JORDAN  -  Played 3, 4 Points
AUSTRALIA  -  Played 3, 2 Points
IRAQ  -  Played 3, 2 Points
OMAN  -  Played 3, 2 Points

Looks like today could be good for Australia.

Oz starting well, Oman leading Jordan.

1-0.  Iraq, a great counter/finish.  Hardly deserve it.  Terrible giveaway (Holman?)

What is Cahill's head made of?  1-1.  Woeful Iraqi defending.

Iraq 1 - 1 Aus.

Australia's hopes still alive (ish)

With three games at home for Australia should be no problem to finish second.

Certainly not lucky. Dominated most of the game. Got caught on a breakaway.
They did not play that well bur Iraq were very disappointing.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

I'd agree with that Leggy.

Well he is 34 years old and for a striker that is probably too old.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel by Selecting Archie but unfortunately we have very few decent strikers around to take that spot in the National Side.

Scary!

Japan were far the better side, but Aussies will be very happy with the draw.
