Soccer is for fags - Something Ive been defending for years, but today that saying is completely justified. FIFA say this constant diving and simulation has to go, but they do nothing to get rid of it. Theyre rewarding it. "Oh an Italian player is crying, this must be genuine seeing as theyre the champions of the world and all..."
How do we get beyond this? Take dives and fake injuries ourselves and further bring the game into disrepute? Today Im almost embarrassed to be a footballer, especially knowing that NZ are watching this game and many of whom are new to the game.
On a side note, good on Mulligan for giving Cannavaro the fist at half time.
