That was ONC.

We lost 4-2 to Vanuatu in qualifying for 2006.

Anyhow...

The tournament was the Oceania Nations Cup though.  The top two sides then played off for the World Cup places.

The White Noise boys look sharp in the white suits. I'm at home in my dressing gown [blue, I could wear the wife's white one but its a bit on the tight side]. I haven't felt this much anticipation for a game since my own playing days many moons ago. In a couple of hours we will know whether or not we hoped for too much. GO THE ALL WHITES......

I know News, but its out of our hands now.

Its completely up to the boys come 11.30pm.We've all done our little bit to help get them to this very place and time.
It's a crossroads in our NZ footballing history and an opportunity for these few Kiwi lads to go where only a handful of All Whites  has ever been and... who knows?
Whatever happens, I am very proud of our All Whites and we know they will all give it everything they have.

And to be fair, I have faith that NZF will do the right things this time, there is more pressure on them from a much bigger, more organized public for them to just dally it all away. We will be back for more World Cups to come.
