Most likely is we end up playing Paraguay. Quite a few of the likely result combos end up with them in fifth. Anyone know any online betting markets where I can bet on who gets fifth place?

I've got Colombia finishing in fifth, behind Chile on goals for.

I think I saw the Arg v. Ecu game was on ESPN2 with the rest on Bein.

Raf would enjoy guest commentating v Colombia. And I'd enjoy watching them v All Whites again for sure.

I might try and stream a game here at work.. which ONE game would you recommend? Don't care for Argentina as they need to win...should I watch either Peru or Paraguay?

Peru-Colombia for sure will be the best game

Results so far

Brazil 0-0 Chile
Paraguay 0-0 Venezuela
Ecuador 1-2 Argentina
Peru 0-0 Colombia
Uruguay 2-1 Bolivia

Right now the 5th would be Colombia

Colombia v Peru a cagey affair so far. If Argentina stay ahead in Quito, that will change as Peru will then need to win to progress

If Paraguay beat Venezuela (they dominated first half apparently), and if Peru and Colombia do NOT draw, then I think Paraguay is still likely. Hoping to avoid Colombia/Chile/Argentina.

Still lots of ifs considering there are only 45 mins left after months of games!

Brazil scored twice. Now Chile is 5th

NZ opposition has been Colombia, Chile now Peru in the last 5 minutes! Things are changing by the minute

Waiting for the last minute winner for Paraguay to bump them up into 5th right now.

If results stay as is - excluding the Paraguay game, table looks like:

Brazil 41

Uruguay 31

Colombia 29

Argentina 28

Chile 26 < 5th

Peru 25

So if Paraguay (currently on 24) can beat Ven (0-0 after 69) they would sneak into 5th which would be better than getting Chile imo.

If Peru can get an equalizer then they could take 5th too (as they would be 1 ahead on goal difference vs Chile based on Brazil beating Chile by 2-0)

As stands it would be Peru.

However if Chile pulls back a goal vs Brazil I think their goal difference is the same but they would be 5th based on more wins (both would have same number of goals)?

Head-to-head record perhaps?

Paraguay went down against Venezuela. It seems it will be Peru

Where you getting your scores from? Fifa website has that game at 84 mins

From herald:

"If Chile score just one goal against Brazil, then fifth place will be decided by who had the better head-to-head between Chile and Peru throughout the qualification process. This means Chile would move back into fifth, based on the fact they defeated Peru in their two encounters.

I too wouldn't have minded Paraguay as they haven't had a great campaign and Peru have a decent record in the last couple of years, but I'll take Peru vs the Argies any day of the year.

Where are the approximate dates for the games? Cheekily checking out flights...if we are playing the first leg at home, I assume the return will be around 10-15 November??
