Half time 2-0. Fair to say Germany have, in 45 minutes, already looked better than any other side at this World Cup so far.

Something I've always thought to myself is... "I'd never want to play against Germany". They just don't stop, they demolish teams for fun.

You can hear the squawking of chickens coming home to roost from here. Cahill as striker? Ridiculous. And it's no use all those tired old defenders screaming at the ref and linesmen for offsides which obviously aren't.
 
Could get ugly in the 2nd half if Oz tries to push forward too much.

Full time 4-0. What a performance by Germany. Absolutely destroyed Australia and scored some sublime goals in the process.

As for Australia: LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Thoroughly enjoyed seeing the World Cup winners-to-be bravely and gloriously fighting not to be hit for double-figures in the first game.

As for the Germans, not surprised by their quality and style one little bit - their U20 and U21 teams have been the class of Europe for the last 3-4 years, and it's this generation graduating to senior football now and looking the goods. They'll breeze this group.

after watching the replays of the goals i'm pretty sure Lucas Neil was caught out every time. then he turned and screamed at his players/the ref/the lino. just rubbish.

I think they are U16, U18 and U21 Euro champs at the moment. Swap some Euro with World champs maybe, not 100% sure withouth double checking. Anyway, they are pretty good at the moment, and the future looks bright for German national team.
