McCowatt starting. No Liam Jordan in match day squad.

Absolutely pantsed 3-0 by bottom of the league Nykøbing.

They'll be lucky to keep out of the relegation group at this rate, with HB Køge & next weeks opponents Hillerød both only three points back. Three more matches left before the promotion/relegation split.

McCowatt off after the hour mark in this one. Right after they'd gone 2-0 down.

Starts alongside Liam Jordan

Edit - credited with the assist for 2nd goal in a 2-0 win. Off at 81 mins. Jordan a full game.

Top 6 & bottom 6 cutoff after 2 more rounds. Helsinger (6th) should make the top 6, being 6 pts clear of 2 teams directly below, though they have an inferior GD.

Still a small chance of promotion being 6 points off 2nd.

Another assist for McCowatt in a 1-0 win at Fremad Amager (9th).

Helsingor 3rd, but 10 pts off top spot & 6 pts off 2nd. Those 2 teams also with a game in hand. Think only the top 2 get promoted, but maybe still a chance if Helsingor can do the reverse of last season when they imploded with promotion in their grasps.

Full game McCowatt and an assist for first goal in a 2-1 win.

Helsingor up to 3rd, 7 pts off 2nd placed Hvidovre (GD +22). Top 2 promoted. Helsingor have a GD -3, so poor was their early season form. Maybe they can make a late season run

His assist from the weekend. Little headed down assist.

Likely a longshot for Helsingør to get promoted, being 7 pts off Hvidore in 2nd, starting the Championship Round (10 more games). They are away to Hvidore for a crucial game in early April.

Helsingør have won their last 3 games straight. Top 2 teams promoted

They need one of the top two teams to do what they did last season and choke!

Helsingor (3rd, 37 pts) host Vendsyssel (5th). 3rd is a promotion playoff spot, but ideally Helsingor want to catch Hvidore (44 pts) in 2nd an automatic promotion spot.

Not sure how it works but must be a chance McCowatt's Helsingor play great mate Eli Just's Horsens (3rd last in the Superliga) in a pro/rel playoff at season end??

Off at 78 mins in a 0-0 draw.  Will feel like a points dropped game for Helsingor (3rd) who travel to 2nd placed Hvidovre next week in a big game.

Another Kiwi on a European club scoresheet.

McCowatt with the first goal as Helsingor (4th on GD, 38 pts) lead promotion rivals Hvidovre (2nd, 44 pts) 2-1 at 55 mins.

Big game in the promotion race, with top 2 teams only automatically promoted.

https://us.soccerway.com/matches/2023/04/09/denmark/1st-division/hvidovre-if/elite-3000-helsingor/4056723/

Edit - 58 mins, and now 2-2.

Edit 2 - sadly it all turns to custard as Hvidore win 3-2 (85th min winner). Full game McCowatt. So Hvidore (2nd) now 9 pts clear of Helsingor (4th).

Yeah they boffed a really good chance to close the gap to the top 2.

8 games left, 9 points back, yeah it's a big ask from here for Helsingør.

At least McCowatt has been playing well of late.

2 goals / 3 assists in his last 7 appearances for Helsingør. Not bad if he's trying to woo some potential suitors higher up.

From Flying Kiwis. Post Helsingor losing 3-2 on the weekend, after being up 2-1.

Full game for McCowatt in his now regular midfield role but yeah nah this was a devastating result. Instead of closing with three points of promotion, they’re now nine points back and it’s quite hard to see how they make up that ground. Eight more games to play in the promotion rounds so it’s far from over but this could’ve been massive for them.

McCowatt has one more year on his contract after this season so it’ll be curious to see what happens there if they fail to get promoted once again – if they want any coin for him this offseason might have to be the one (they’ve already sold Eli Just for an alleged €100k fee).

That is tragic news. It's a small stadium at Helsingor, so likely players would have been pretty aware of what was happening in the stands.

Strange morning in Europe for Kiwis with 2 games abandoned.

Eventful match. McCowatt with a double and yellow in a full game. But the goals are all in vain as Helsingor lose 4-5.

That’s likely the end of their promotion hopes. Hopefully some Superliga clubs though are looking at McCowatt. The goals won’t hurt

On a personal level he'll be bloody happy with his output after the mid season/winter break. But he'll likely be equally as disappointed that his Helsingør side are going to be playing 1.Division football again next season.

Hopefully someone comes in and takes a punt on him though.

The second half of the previously postponed Helsingør v Næstved match was played overnight. Helsingør run out 4-2 victors. Another goal for Callum!

His Helsingør team might have run their race this league campaign, but McCowatt certainly putting his best foot forward for any potential move in the off-season. Lad is on fire! 🔥

Moving to midfield has worked for him. Apparently playing similar box to box role to Garbett as an 8 at Breda, part of a midfield 3 with a CDM (from Flying Kiwis)

Worked his way in nicely since his initial move to Denmark, and his output in terms of G/A per 90 has improved year on year. He's still got six games left this season to ramp those numbers up further as well.

Regardless, he and his Helsingør team mates will still be kicking themselves over that choke of a promotion effort of last season.

Saying that he is playing in the midfield. Zero tackles for that role ain’t flash

McCowatt starts.

Out of interest Helsingor have 9 Danish starters, league leaders Vejle only have 3.

Edit - continues his red hot form with Helsingor’s goal in a 2-1 loss. Helsingor we’re down 2-0 after only 8 mins!

His latest goal from Helsingor's loss on the weekend. He is in a hot little vein of shooting form. This time with the left peg, which seemed to catch the keeper by surprise maybe.

McCowatt starts.
20 yr old Cyrus Dehmie who had 3 seasons at Brisbane Roar, on the bench for Nastved.

Edit - McCowatt full game in a 2-1 loss.

Full game in a 0-1 loss. Promotion dreams officially over with 3 rounds still to play.

Time for McCowatt to find a higher level, like Just & Liam Jordan (now in Sweden) have done.
