McCowatt's assist near the end of these 2 mins of highlights. Sweetly placed lob into the box with his left peg. Team mate took his chance well.

Silkeborg had some luck, AGF hitting the woodwork at least twice.

3-3 draw away ay Midtjylland and our man scored the equaliser in the 82nd minute.

He came on in the 64th minute.

That result meant all Brondby had to do was draw at home to AGF in the simultaneous KO to be champions on GD

They lost 2-3!
So despite McCowatt’s late seemingly killer goal, Midtjylland are title winners

Gotta love some last day football drama

Nice goal McCowatt. He's had a very good last 12 months. Finishes his first SuperLiga season with 5 goals from 32 games (17 starts). Plus a few more in their successful Danish Cup campaign, incl a big one in the QF win over FCK.

His goal certainly creating a very tense last 10 mins at Midtjylland. The news that Brondby were losing/had lost, obviously reaching the stadium. Their 4th SuperLiga title. Winnie Reid's old Danish club. Also Bozhidar Kraev.

Might be the rumoured Danish club looking at Ben Old.

MCH Arena is a beautiful little stadium. Holding out hope that the Phoenix will play somewhere like that one day

From Flying Kiwis.
Danish Superliga kicks off this weekend witha  Kiwi derby.

McCowatt's Silkeborg host Dalton Wilkins's SønderjyskE.

Callum McCowatt and Silkeborg will join that comp (Europa League) in the second qualifying round after winning the Danish Cup last season – they face Molde (Norway) over two legs starting next week and will then need to win two other ties to make it to the League Phase (which is replacing the Group Stage from 2024-25 onwards).

Molde win 2-1. 2nd leg in Denmark next week.

No McCowatt who presumably has an early season injury.

Joe Bell's Viking (4th) host Molde (3rd) in a big game in Norway this weekend. Bell though will be absent with Olywhites in France.

Silkeborg won 3-2, but unfortunately that meant they lost the tie 4-5 on agg
Didn’t help they went down to 10 men when 2-1 up

I think they now drop into European Conference qualifying

Still no McCowatt

Still no McCowatt. There is a brief mention on Silkeborg's website prior the AaB game last week, that he was unavailble for that game due to injury.

Edit - Silkeborg win 3-2

They have drawn Belgium's Gent in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. First leg this week.

Seems he's doubtful for the first match, hopefully he's back for the away leg. Cracking stadium Gent have got, has a lovely playing surface too. Would be an interesting battle with fellow English-speaking left back Archie Brown, who's had a rather intriguing career so far. He's only 22 but has never played first team minutes in England, instead coming up through the Swiss league before moving to Belgium. Looks a good player though, McCowatt will have to be sharp (if he gets any minutes, that is).
Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.

Still no McCowatt, for a 2-2 draw.
Japanese GK Daniel Schmidt who was with Cacace at Sint-Truiden on the bench for Gent.

2nd leg next week in Belgium.

Unfortunately no McCowatt (reinjured?) but this tie a bit of a classic

115 mins into ET and it’s 2-2 again (4-4 on agg). Silkeborg were leading 2-1 until 92 mins then Gent the late equaliser

Edit - Gent with a 118th min winner for a 3-2 win (5-4 agg). So think that means Silkeborg‘s European adventure is over all so quickly and McC didn’t feature at all

Again no McCowatt.
Missed the first 4-5 games of the season, comeback game got a 10 min cameo, then out the last 2 games again.

Edit - Silkeborg win 4-1 to go top of the table.

Injured or just on the outer?

Definitely injured, that's why he missed the AWs games.
But Silkeborg are tracking well in 3rd, he will likely come back via the bench when he's finally fit.

The national team break is over and tomorrow the away game against AGF awaits. Kent Nielsen's selection includes Pelle Mattson, who can play his first game since July. On the other hand, Younes Bakiz must be added to the injury list after he went out against FCM. This means that he is now sitting out with Alexander Busch, Alexander Priesborg Madsen, Pontus Rödin, Callum McCowatt and Anders Klynge.

No news on his injury? That’s gotta be more than a hammy. Bit of a worry.
