Nice of Marinakis to lend them his bedsheet for it.

Three for me, and two for them.

Forests Europa League draw is out and you have to say they got a bit lucky. Hopefully that means more Wood goals to come.

Huge nostalgia for Forest fans in the Malmö tie as that’s who they beat to win the 1979 European cup.

Woodsman starts. He has eight goals in 14 Premier League appearances against the Hammers, so fingers crossed, as he approaches Viduka's mark of 92 goals. Wood with 91.

Frustrating game so far. Underlining how much Elanga’s pace was important for them. Ndoye kept very quiet and Hudson-Odoi often with two players. Hammers happy to sit deep and Paqueta and  Hernandez are getting a lot of calls folding, rather than competing.

Edit: and Wood off for Igor Jesus.

Premier League has been fun to watch so far this year... results are all over the place outside Liverpool, but they seem a little fragile as well.

Wood off at 73 mins (0-0) as it finishes in a surprise 0-3 loss to the Hammers.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/360808591/watch-liverpools-dominik-szoboszlai-stuns-arsenal-long-range-free-kick

West Ham eased the pressure on manager Graham Potter with a 3-0 win at Nottingham Forest, secured by goals from the 84th minute by Jarrod Bowen, Lucas Paqueta — from the penalty spot — and Callum Wilson.

West Ham lost its first two games in the league, conceding eight goals in the process, and also were eliminated from the English League Cup in midweek.

Paqueta, the Brazil midfielder, celebrated his successful penalty kick by pretending to answer a call and throw away a phone before kissing the badge on his jersey — perhaps a nod to being linked over the past 24 hours with a move to Aston Villa.

Not sure if this makes it a good or bad time to be on the opposite side of the world.

Crazy next 3-4 days for Woody coming.

Sacked manager, Playing tonight at Mt Smart, fly back to Nottingham. Fly to London to be ready to start vs Arsenal on Saturday night (NZT) at the Emirates with a likely interim manager in place. Absolutely wild.

Oof.

Tbh though, good deal for Nuno. Gets a pay out and doesn’t have contend with a season with European football and a difficult ‘second album’ in the league, as it were, without his leading assist man from last season.

Bollocks, guna just keep Woodsy in my FF team and just ride the wave.

Ange to win the Europa League twice in a row, heard it here first.

In fact I'll go one step further and say Ange to win the Europa League AND finish 17th in the league for a second year in a row lol.

Wood getting phased out then you’d think! Though he’s not that different to Solanke…

Not ideal. He definitely doesn’t suit the way Ange sets up. But then again neither do the CBs. They’re very good but very slow.

But Murillo and Milenkovic have been recruited by Nuno based off them being able to play in a deep block and soak up pressure to launch counter attacks.

Ange’s highline won’t benefit them at all. Let’s see if he adapts his way. He doesn’t really have another option outside of Woody so he’s gonna have to make do.

One would hope that Ange can use the team he ahs been given, they may not suit his style but it's not like he can do mych about that until January now.
I wouldnt worry if I was Wood, his record at the club should be enough toi give Ange somehting to work with.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Woodsman starting once again. Ange on his debut playing out a similar formation to Nuno, almost like Nuno never left.

Murato in for the injured Aina. Thought it was gunna be a 3 when I saw that at first!

Be interesting to see how Forest defend corners.

Wood almost scores with his chest, looping it over the keeper who just gets fingertips onto the bar.

Gives an idea about the quality of service and about how awesome Woodsy is.

League Cup, 3rd Round. Swansea host Notts Forest.
Will Wood play? Sounds like Stamenic won't be fit enough to be involved.

The Woodsman about to become a very busy boy, as Forest's Europa League campaign kicks off next week, starting with a trip to Real Betis. Potentially 9 games in about 4 weeks (if you include the two Socceroos fixtures) plus travel, up to the Oct FIFA window. Need to manage that workload

A feeling that things won’t be fun at Forest for a while.
Perhaps Wood should be on the blower to Newcastle? Short on strikers, he owes them some goals and there’s plenty of creative power there.

No Wood in the cup squad as Forest fold late to lose to Swansea 3-2, after two goals from Jesus to lead 2-0.

No Stamenic for Swansea either.
Swans captain Socceroo CB Burgess with a 2nd half goal double

Forest far from full strength as yes they face a busy schedule ahead

Didn't they just buy two strikers?

Three for me, and two for them.

Didn't they just buy two strikers?

Kind of. But they’re in Europe and the German guy is quite an unconventional forward, and Wissa still somewhat untested.

I just like the idea, if Woodsy could keep his target eye in, he gets Elanga and Murphy assisting him, plus Barnes, Gordon, Trippier, Joelinton and Bruno G, and the Italian dude.

They’ve got a lot of games and he’d give us them depth and something more conventional. If he could stand going back there with the fans after his last spell.

I know, will never happen. But seems more fun than hanging around at Forest while Edu sorts things out.

And for Woodsy fans Forest has been fun to watch for a couple of years.
