Goals are goals, but not a lot of resistance there!

Good stuff Woodsman!
Nice really need to work on their defense, they were terrible...#7 looked quite lively though!

you know it's a slow day on the NZ football front when a horse owned by a footballer makes the news. Umm thanks?

61 minutes at the Emirates (replaced by Jay Rodriguez) as Burnley lose 2-1 to Arsenal.

Was 1-1 when Wood went off.

Barnes with goal for Burnley. 3 in 2 games for him.

Played pretty well in his 60 minutes too, much sharper than last week. Protected the ball and passed well, had a couple of half chances too. Ran down a through ball into the right corner to lay on the pass to McNeil who shot straight to Barnes (who then scored).

In a strange tactical blunder, Dyche took off Wood at 60 minutes with Burnley playing well. They then proceeded to offer nothing from that point on.

Didn't see this game but from the extended highlights of last week I thought he looked pretty sharp. Combined well with Barnes and caused the opposition defence a few problems

Definately combines well with Barnes and causes all sorts of headaches for the defense (hence why it was strange to see him subbed at 60 minutes). Against Southampton Wood was OK, but had a few wayward passes and wasn't winning much in the air. Was much better against Arsenal, got an ironic hug for Sokratis at one point after making a good attacking tackle while Burnley were executing the press to perfection. No kiss from Wood though.

Very cool short interview with Chris Wood on Spark Sport Small Talk
e.g. Which has the worst winters - Hamilton or Burnley? Burnley easy.

Both grim northern sharkholes tbf.

Three for me, and two for them.

Full game in a 1-1 draw at Wolves.

Home side score late at 96 mins, to frustrate Wood & co.

Barnes with Burnley’s goal. His 4th in 3 games.

Had a golden chance saved by Rui Patricio in goal after he cut inside the defender about 10 yards out - should have scored

21 mins off the bench as Burnley lose 1-3 at home in the League Cup, to League One Sunderland.

Same score when he came on.

Barnes not even in match day squad, as Burnley rested a few first choice players.

Probably strengthens case for Wood to remain a starter upfront with inform Barnes.

Plays full game against Liverpool, and opens his EPL account for the season. Sort of.

Credited with an OG as Burnley go down 0-3.

Firmino and Sane score as well.

That was an extremely unlucky touch he got on the cross.

He had just sprinted 80 metres in an attempt to shut down that Liverpool counter attack and at first not even the commentators noticed it had taken a deflection. Pretty unlucky to have it credited as an OG.

66 mins in a 1-1 draw at Brighton. Wood replaced by Jay Rodriguez.

Burnley 1-0 down when he was replaced.

Henrick with a 91st min equaliser for Clarets.

Thought this thread had been a bit quiet lately.

But...

Off the mark in the League! In with a brace after 15 against Norwich.

Doesn't seem long ago that there were people on here questioning if Wood was even good enough for the EPL. ;)
Two very good goals overnight. I'd love to see him get a dozen or more this season.

Second goal is classic Wood. Brilliant movement to escape his man and brilliant finish

Wood starts and finishes the move with clinical header to put Burnley back on level terms in the 81st minute. His third in 2 games.

Full game in a 1-0 win over Everton.

Hendrick with the goal. Yet another from a corner for the Clarets.

Toffees had Coleman sent off at 56 mins. 0-0 at that stage.
