Was very good for Wanderers last weekend against Tee Dubs.

Hope the Millwall thing goes well.

Trial with Norwich.

If he is leaving for the UK tomorrow as noted in article, presume he hadn't been picked for AWs given they play in Japan only 7 days later.

Great news... good to have another Kiwi applying his trade overseas. Hopefully he can break into the first team sooner rather than later.

Fourth Kiwi to play there? Jason Batty, David Mulligan, Rory Fallon and him, any others?

Rosario Central, the All Whites, Waitakere United and the mighty Phoenix! speaker of engrish

Perry Cotton played there also 33 games (2 goals) from 1988-91

Yes that great news for Clayton. Whenever I have seen him play he looks quality...

I recall him playing for his school as a 13-15 year old and looked extremely advanced for his young years..Was he a product of an Ole early on?

go well Clayton

Do we give some credit to Hudson for this.. picked for the All Whites ahead of a variety of European based pros based on what he saw?

Nope. Product of his own hard work.

Has done some bits and pieces with Stu Jacobs/Kaizen over the years, but not on a regular basis.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Any indication of whether he's going to be in or around the first team? Or do they see him as a longer-term project?

I think the fact that it was the manager talking about him, not a youth coach suggests he will be in the 1st team squad.

Very pleased to see him sign!

He will be in the mix for the first team, not a lot of other attack minded midfielders at the club currently. Seems this deal was on the cards for a while but visa issues have held the deal up.

Haha, I find it slightly amusing this forum suffers from the "Scodhorpe problem": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scodhorpe_problem

And my link didn't work, unsurprisingly!

Yeah, it's gonna be an issue. I had to manually change the club name to Scodthorpe in order to be able to post that tweet.

I can probably make an exception for Scodthorpe...

Played most of his junior football up a grade for Miramar.  Then in G13 went to Karori, as Miramar were trying to force him to play in his correct grade.  Then G14 at Onslow when Karori's G13 became Wellington College G14, then St Pat's/Kaizen both with Stu.

If he can develop and mature he will be an incredibly important part of the NZ side moving forward.

Our future engine of him, Tuiloma and Thomas have a lot of potential.
