Would be awesome if they could pull of promotion this season or next and have all 3 in Sweden's top flight 

All three at the same club should need only one pin and phone number on the wall at NZFC HQ!

GAIS have been using the Swedish Cup tournament to trial players and don't seem to be worrying about the results.

They've lost them all and conceded lots of goals.

In Sweden the Cup is played initially as a pre-season tournament with teams in groups somewhat like the UEFA Champions League.

The knock-out rounds come later in the season.

Craig Henderson hasn't played yet.

Craig has featured in ten of GAIS's 15 games so far this season (nine starts).

League resumed after a three week break this past weekend with GAIS playing Tuesday morning NZT.

GAIS are well out of promotion contention lying in eleventh on the table, 18 points off the third place promotion play-off spot.

Dan Keat is still out injured.

Stephen Old continues to play regularly at centre-back.

GAIS's first game after the three week league break turned out to be one of the most eventful in history for Kiwis playing professionally outside of Australasia.

1. First time that three Kiwis have started in the same team in a senior professional game in Europe.

2. Two Kiwis sent off from the same side for the first time in a professional game in Europe.

(Henderson red-carded after 49 minutes; Stephen Old in the fourth minute of injury time)

3. Dan Keat's first game of the season for his new club after nearly three months out injured (subbed after 60 minutes).

Oh, and despite having two players sent off, GAIS still won comfortably 4-2 against Varberg.

Former Crystal Palace midfielder Kieron Cadogan scored two of the GAIS goals.

The fifth English-speaking starter was former Oxford United, Northampton Town and Yeovil midfielder Liam Davis.

Now move up to ninth on the table.

New Zealand's most prominent Scandinavian-based players Craig Henderson and Stephen Old both had solid seasons.

Their last league game was November 5 vs. Syrianska, another former top league side.

Henderson came on as a half-time sub, while Old started.

Hendo played 19 matches for GAIS in the Swedish Second Division in a mostly injury-free campaign for him.

14 starts, five apps as a sub.

Has joined Indy Eleven in the USA's NASL

The NASL (8 teams) which was considered 2nd tier is now equal 2nd tier with USL (30 teams - which previously was 3rd tier but now upgraded). Musa, Wynne, James & Colvey (if he doesn't play for his MSL team) are all playing for teams in the USL.

Like James, you would think Henderson moving from a 2nd tier Scandy league to the US, would have him a bit more on Hudson's radar. Given the gaffer would already be closely monitoring the form of Gleeson, Wynne & Colvey.

Not sure if Indy Eleven is also a feeder team to a MLS side (like many of the USL teams) - but obviously if Henderson was good enough to crack a MLS team, would definitely come back into AWs reckoning.

Henderson plays full 90 mins in Puerto Rica as Indy Eleven manage 1-1 draw away.

Henderson has lately been used as a sub, and has appeared 11 times in total with 8 of those being off the bench. Seems NASL (US 2nd tier), strangely has both a Spring & Fall season (just started), with teams restarting with zero points carried over from Spring season??. 

From this article seems little hope of Indy Eleven getting a MLS licence, in near future. Main problem being lack of a proper football stadium in Indianapolis.

Note $US150 Million needs to be stumped up, by a new franchise team to join the MLS. Makes A League seem cheap.

A league is cheap, the A-League is in a much more competitive pro sport market and in a large country with a small population, the US is less competitive and has a large population in a large country. 

Got a very rare start a few days  ago and scored in 7th minute!

Doesn’t seem Indy Eleven will be getting MLS licence anytime soon, from last reports.

I think his team needs to be updated to Unattached FC.

I presume like Chris James, he will pop up at some Scandy lower league side.

Indy Eleven now in USL, and only retained 3 of last years NASL squad. So massive clean out 

I see they get home crowds of 17,000 plus which must be the biggest attendances in USL. Most clubs get a few thousand fans at most
