Yet another injury plagued season in Denmark for him. 
7 matches for Sonders (only 127 mins) & another 2 games on loan with Kolding in the 2nd tier.

Looks like he is contracted with SonderjyskE to June 2027, but I'm sure they would look at a mutual release in need.

Wilkins a bit of a forgotten man re Kiwi players. Only because he's always in sick bay.

But who knows he may yet become the AWs starting RB, if he ever stays injury free. Plays more on the left, but he'll be well aware with Payne's career winding down the national team opportunity is on the right side.

Pre season has started in Denmark. Sonders beat Randers in their first warmup game.

No mention of Wilkins getting any mins from a quick look at the lineups in either half.

They play Joe Bell's Viking in their 2nd warmup game tonight.

Norwegian season resumes next weekend, so not much of a post WC break for Bell.

New Superliga season. Sonders host Midtjylland. Wilkins doesn't seem to have featured in preseason.

The left fill back spot with the AWs is crowded. But the right side is completely open this cycle, with Payne you'd think not likely to be there in 2030.

Wilkins only 27, so he still has time if he can ever play a season injury free.

That’s a first appearance of the term for Dalton Wilkins in the Superliga, getting five minutes off the bench for Sønderjyske in a 0-0 draw against Viborg. They’d lost their opening two games so they needed that point... though they did have chances to triple their reward. Wilkins came on at right-back and had a couple of nice moments helping his team drive forward.

Edit - Dalton on at 65 mins (3-1), in a 3-1 loss for Sonders.
They went down to 10 men at 70 mins, making any comeback away at league big boys FCK difficult.

Wilkins with consecutive approx 30 minute cameos. In this instance he replaced a right sided player if that means anything.

Must be in line for an AWS recall later this month. Esp given many of the RB options (Elliott, Roux & Tuiloma) are still out of season.
Plus Libby is still injured.

Dalton Wilkins got another 25 minutes for Sønderjyske in a 3-1 defeat against FC København. That’s three appearances in the last four, including 25+ minutes in each of the last two fixtures. Last game they subbed him onto the left side of defence, this game they chucked him on as a right wing-back. Love to see that.
