He is in Hamburg Germany from his insta post. No idea if that means he’s recovering there from an injury that is keeping him out or if he’s on trial etc.

Cross fingers. If I was Wilkins I’d be asking Sonders to try play on the right flank as much as possible this season.

Backup spot to Payne is wide open re the WC squad

Still no Wilkins as 10 man Sonders lose 3-2

Niche Cache. Turns out Wilkins had surgery in March, hence why he's been out awhile.

Dalton Wilkins is back! He had a great start to last season with Sonders, starting three of their first six matches, but then those old pesky injuries reared their ugly head again and he ended up having to go under the knife in March. That meant season over... and plenty more.

The recovery process continued all the way through preseason and the opening month of the Superliga until he got 45 minutes for the reserves last week and then played ten minutes off the bench in a 2-0 win against Brøndby over the weekend. Back in action after five and a half months. He even managed to collect a yellow card for time wasting as Sonders held on for an upset victory.

He's been loaned out to his former club Kolding IF for the rest of the season (1.Division - 2nd tier).

That sort of sucks. Thought he might be the guy to put some pressure on Payne for the AWs RB role in the months ahead.

Though Kolding are 2nd in 1.Division after 8 games, so early doors look like being in the promotion race.

And yeah after a long time out he just needs to be playing. Who knows he might stay at Kolding until the winter break (mid Dec), log some good mins and return to Sonders when football resumes in Denmark Feb/March next year.

Yes Wilkins off at 25 mins. Hopefully nothing too serious

Kolding go on to lose 0-2 and so their Cup run is over

Just been named in the AW's squad for Poland & Norway.

I gather it's very much a case of him being named, but highly likely to be replaced.

Kolding win 2-1, but no Wilkins at all.

Looks like Wilkins will now withdraw from the AWs squad, and as mentioned by AV, Sam Sutton maybe picked ahead of McGarry as the Glory play a day later than the Roar when the ALM kicks off in a fortnight.
