Collier starts against Columbus Crew.

Bastian Schweinsteiger gets a rest, as Chicago play 3 games in a week.

5 minutes to go, Columbus dominating 3-0. Collier going to get a full 90 by the looks.

Getting a good run in this Chicago side, appeared in every game this season so far.

Hit the woodwork in the game as well.

Finished 3-0 Columbus. Woodwork was also hit at least 4 times.

Well done to Collier. Be great to see him in a white shirt soon, but unfortunately not likely for awhile.

Real prospect as a backup to Wood.

Has played a lot of positions this season as a striker, winger and as a central attacking midfielder. So he could be a real backup to a lot of positions or even get into the starting 11. Would like to see him play central attacking midfielder as he is not the fastest but is very creative.

Not in match day squad as Chicago lose 2-3 to Houston.

Sounds like he missed at least one training late in the week, with a minor knock.

If he gets dropped to USL, affiliate side for Chicago is Tulsa Roughnecks.

A rare 2-1 away win for the Fire

It's a shame he's not in the All Whites squad atm. Get the feeling he'd have scored a bundle

Collier subbed in from 14 minute mark for Chicago (presume an injury), as they lost 3-4 at home to Philadelphia.

Collier doesn't really feature in highlights. Schweinsteiger, scored at 93 mins to tie it 3-3, but Philly score a minute later to pinch a win.

Some pretty average defending in highlights by Chicago.

Collier scores at 92 mins (also picked up a yellow) as Chicago beat USL side Louisville City 4-0 in US Open Cup (UOC), quarterfinals.

https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/07/18/highligh...

Louisville had one player sent off at 84 mins, and another at 93 mins.

Collier getting plenty of game time, but this was his first goal since his first start back in March.

Chicago have two goal scorers in the top 15 MLS scorers this season. Serbian Katai and Hungarian (though Serb born) Nikolic with 9 goals each.

Seems like there is a biggest gap between USL & MLS. Louisville were the last remaining USL team in UOC, and comfortably beaten by Chicago.

Seems to get a lot of game time but not many goals. The Heskey role?

Has to be doing something right..

first season as a pro and has two goals to his name. Could be worse. Plus he’s being played out wide.

Well taken goal but that was extremely poor defending. Anyway, well done to him still.

They loaned him out so they could use his visa slot on a new signing.

Must be a sign that Chicago Fire really rate him, to bring Collier back out of their USL reserve side to play in a high-profile friendly like this.

A great experience for the guy, playing in front of a full house of 75,000 at the Allianz Arena and coming on in the second half when Bayern had the big name players like Robben and Ribery on.

Looks more like a sign of a team bringing on their 'B' players to protect against injuries in the first team?

True - but it's encouraging that they see him as among the best of their "B" players  - and ahead of any number of young American players they could have given a run.

Apparently Chicago demoted Collier to the Indy Eleven reserve team because they had too many foreign visa players - otherwise he might still be in the squad as a bench player.

He's currently looking at getting a Green Card so he won't be classed as a foreigner.
