Stanger on the bench. Sucks that the soft red card a few weeks back seems to have cost him his starters spot.

Edit - unused sub in a 0-0 draw. Next Kiwi SPL derby

Makes amends for the start of the season red card with an equalising goal in the Scottish Premiership kiwi derby against Eli Just's Motherwell.

Both Kilmarock and Motherwell have started the season with 4 draws!

Motherwell somehow sitting 4th currently as well. League of draws.

Match highlights. Exciting match from these 5 mins.

About 4 mins in is Stanger's tap in goal, as Motherwell's keeper spills a very high cross. Looks like Tony S had stayed around the goal after a set piece.

Eli Just had a shot smothered in the first half.

Old enough to remember Tony Stanger as pimply faced young winger for Scotland in the 1990s. Apparently he met George's Kiwi mum in a Sydney bar, the location of many a perfect romance.

Part of a back 3/5 and then off at 77 mins with Killies a goal down

They then equalise but the Hoops get a late 95th min winner for Kilmarnock to lose 1-2

Get him in the next all whites squad. Surely worth a look at.

If they're still considering selecting Smith, who's no longer playing at a fully pro level and they ignore a bloke playing in the top tier of Scotland then we need new selectors.

I want Stanger given a chance, but I'm pretty sure he's right sided like Boxall, Surman & Tuiloma.

Pijnaker is injured, leaving Bindon as the only LCB. And right at the moment with his future at the Blades a bit up in the air (coach Selles gone, some shaky early season form), young Tyler B might benefit from having old dog Smith around for some sage advice.

There you go I have just written Baze's post selection annoucement, press release!

I'm not against having Smith there in a coaching capacity but if Bazeley has him lace up his boots it'll be an absolute joke and an embarrassment to the team.

Being left footed doesn't come close to making up the chasm in quality between the SPL and the 5th tier of England. No room for nepo babies in the national team.

3.50 mins into these highlights is George's goal.
A blunder from Rangers keeper Butland at a corner.

Then very soon after Killies GK with a 'Peak A League Moment' but VAR saves his blushes.

Goals - Stanger, Just, Singh, ADJ, Garbett, Randall, Dyer
Assists - McCowatt, Stamenic, Piper

No doubt I've missed someone.

But a plethora after several weeks of basically McCowatt flying the flag solo in club land

Singh the exciting name there for AW fans! Him and Libby have been quality without enough end product for a while.
Though I think Libby has good avg PpG?
But if Singh can play like he has and throw in a few goals!
(Sorry Mr Stanger!)
