So ah, "no other clubs involved". Didn't believe it at the time believe it even less now. There's no fudgeing way MV & KB could have negotiated his contract in a week while Kosta was in Ireland and Russia

Pretty impressive that he's managed to come across as disloyal in the context of modern professional football.

You know we belong together...

Right now Kosta looks like even more of a cock than Kevin Muscat's head.

And so much for the AWs squad having a player from Unattached FC...

The guy is a shark footballer with shark morals. Up to us to give him absolute hell when he plays back here.

It's got nothing to do with the missus!!  He wanted out and has ended up back at Victory with our blessing - it's not complicated so why all the cloak and dagger stuff about off field issues.

well in case you haven't noticed, we could be gone in 2 years. He could have been part of and contributed to Pro football remaining in this country beyond our deadlines and apparently we paid him bloody well to do the job. He has no hope of a job outside the A-league or Melbourne if the misses can't handle a 3 hour flight away from home.

We should have put him up for sale - not released him... or at least looked at a player swap or something with Victory.

That is the problem with the A-League, there is no transfers between clubs for $$

Regardless of the contract release, he wanted to go. I don't see the problem. Life is to short for regrets and it probably took some guts to leave as he knew what most would feel. He may live to rue this but he might have wondered 'what if 'in the future had he not moved.

I thought he had a poor season for us but certainly wish him well in his footballing future.

I sure as hell don't. I hope he does two ACLs and ends up drinking three bottles of sherry a day and sleeping in a dumpster.

Kosta can go jump.

What a d*ck move.

If you're not going to honour your contract then at least be honest about it.

Are we already planning for his return?

Nail meets head.  Why couldn't he and the club just grow some balls and try some honesty for a change instead of this PR rubbish which is completely transparent

I feel betrayed and let down, as many on here will do. Let down by his lacklustre and blind-alley performances last season, let down by his pitiful excuse for not honouring his contract and let down (a bit) by Nix management apparently making it too easy for him to turn his back on us. Nix should have held the greedy little turncoat to his contract (although I know it wouldn't have actually made much sense to to that).

its been rumored for more than a month that he was returning to the victory yet he told the nix that no other club was involved. its a dick move.

This whole no transfer fees between A League clubs is another A League farce. If this isn't a blatant rort, I don't know what is.If the A League administration had any balls it would investigate this, fine both clubs and player if found to be fudgeing the system - and then change the bloody rule.

Was Rojas called Judus by the fever when he left?

If he was what does it make this cod?

I thought he tried to convince him to stay?

And wasn't this the coach that wasn't the coach at the time  as Dome stretched out the announcement?

Many assumed it was because the new guy was under contract - which was not the case

And Kalezic says he wanted Greek Judas to stay. So...?

But seriously I don't blame Kosta for doing what's right for him. I blame the club for rolling over for a scheme by the Tards. Naivety? Incompetence? Maybe that guy who said he'd heard Welnix were deliberately sabotaging the club because they want out wasn't crazy after all?

ultimately he said the club should let him go though.

what happened isn't just a breach of contract it's also against the rules of the aleague. a team is not allowed to talk to a player while under contract.

kosta seems to have assured the phoenix that no other team was involved but rumours that he'd signed to the victory have been around for a long time before the release happened.

did he talk to them though? His agent may have done, I know it's a technicality but I have seen this used in England and Scotland

thing is saying tapping up doesn't happen is like saying some clubs in NZ don't pay players, we all know they do or find ways around the rules

I disliked Marco, but reflecting back his decision was reasonable in the grand scheme of his career. Kosta on the other hand.... turn up for one season, play like shark and then run back to melborne when your home club needs you the most. Sometimes i wish i were good enough to play for the nix so i could totti the shark outta him when he returns.
