Yipe on loan. Not sure when his contract with Torino finishes.

But he should stay in Holland, especially if Breda can get promoted. If not some Eredivisie clubs will have noticed him. At 20, just needs to be playing - like say Cacace was when he first came to Europe at S-T in Belgium.

Breda will surely be wanting to keep him now. What's that 1 goal and 5 assists in his 8 games there. Will definitely be a few people keeping their eyes out for him...

They played the last 16 mins of the NAC Breda verus Willem II abandoned game overnight behind closed doors.

Edit - Breda are 7th on GD with 4 games left. They could definitely finish 5th or 6th yet. I think that's good enough for a home elimination playoff?? Teams 3-8 in the playoffs.

This away game at Almere will be a good gauge of Breda's promotion playoff chances. Though their playoff spot (6 teams from 3rd to 8th) is still not yet gteed.

Looks like pro/rel format is 3 two legged H&A ties.
3rd v 8th, 4th v 7th & 5th v 6th.

3 winners go into two legged H&A semis alongside the 16th placed (3rd last) team from the Eredivisie.

Two semi final winners, play a two legged H&A final. Winner of that plays in Eredivisie 2023/24

Edit - Breda looking good 2-0 up at HT, away to the 3rd placed team.
They are unbeaten in their last 5 games (4W & 1D), and looking to make it 6.
Since Garbett become a starter (last 10 matches), they have 7W, 1D & 2L. One of those losses away to Thomas's league leading Zwolle.

Edit 2 - Breda down to 10 men from 58 mins.

Edit 3 - 10 men Breda hold on for a 2-0 win. Garbett off at 64 mins (2-0). Breda unbeaten in 6 games go 5th.

So Breda are confirmed for the pro/rel playoffs. They look an in form team, so hopefully they can give it a real crack for promotion to the Eredivisie.

Can't find any official figures for this...someone on a Torino forum reckons it was 250-300k (euro) but take that with a handful of salt.
Shame things didn't work out at all for him at Torino. He had looked head and shoulders above his peers in the Primavera league but was never given an opportunity with the first team.
Anyway, onwards and upwards.

Really pleased that he’s made this move permanent. It’s been great to see him actually playing and being one of the better players on the pitch.

Here’s hoping NAC manage to get promoted. If not, I feel he’ll be in the Eredivisie in the next few seasons anyway.

Thought Garbett may just have waited to see if Breda were promoted first.

Breda (5th) host Heracles (1st). Garbs & his mates can do fellow Kiwi Thomas a big favour with a win, plus make a real statement they are a big chance in the upcoming promotion playoffs.

Well Lammers will be happy, Heracles with the 3-0 win. Was 1-0 until 85th min, and then Breda had their keeper sent off. Conceding 2 late goals.

Garbett (with a yellow) off at 88 mins - either just pre/post Heracles 2nd goal.

Breda conceded twice post 90 mins to lose 2-1. Garbett came on at HT with Breda up 1-0.

Breda finished 6th and now play MVV (5th) home & away over 2 legs in first series of playoffs.

The victors of those first two games will meet each other over two legs in the semis while Breda are on the side of the draw which gets to face the third-to-last team in the Eredivisie in the next round. FC Emmen are those jerries. After that comes the two-legged final to decide the lone team that’ll join Zwolle and Heracles in going up (or, in the case of Emmen, staying up).

So Breda doing it easy. Were up 3-0, now 3-1 (4-1 on agg) at 78 mins.

Next playoff round against Emmen from Eredivise will be tougher
