I have a Bet 365 account, which allows me to watch matches which aren't being showed in N.Z, if that fails I just use myp2p or fromsport.

As for that match, I don't think there would of been a stream for it.

you guys should just search for one on twitter. its so easy!

Hope Boxall gets back in to the starting line up.

From what i have seen and read he has generally been the better performing CB this year.

he's not in the starting XI against New England today. Not sure if he's on the bench or not. Hope he gets on at some point.

Boxall was never very high on the depth chart TBH. The chances he has had have been mostly due to injury, with fellow centrebacks DeMerit and Akloul having both been unavailable until recently.

An article about Vancouver Defense:
Michael Boxall (Mens Soccer): The Vancouver Whitecaps are fortunate to pick up a player like Boxall in the supplemental soccer draft. His combination of size, speed and quickness make him a perfect addition for any defensive backfield. Yet, the season for the Mens Soccer team was not about any one individual. They had a multitude of contributors and did well as a team. Unfortunately he does not make the top ten because of this. He has the skills to succeed at the professional level but his career here does not push him into the top ten successful athletes at UCSB.

Boxall's got the number 2 jersey, so it looks like they rate him highly enough to get a starting number

He was back in the starting line up today. White caps kept a clean sheet and won 1-0. First win for them in 14 straight games.

just saw the highlights of that game and boxall was definitely caught out ball watching in the lead up to kansas winning a penalty. although in saying that his partner at centre back really didnt need to foul the man in the box

VANCOUVER, B.C. Its been an interesting year for Whitecaps FC rookie Michael Boxall, from the lows of being overlooked in the 2011 MLS SuperDraft, to the highs of representing New Zealand in international competition for the first time.

When you hear people saying you should be going late first [round], early second at least, it was tough not being called that day, Boxall said about his experience in the SuperDraft. But it was great being picked up by Vancouver in the [2011 MLS Supplemental Draft].

Looking back at it, Im more than happy with the way its worked out, he continued. Stepping out against each team that passed over you just gives you that motivation.

Boxalls season began positively, starting on opening day alongside captain Jay DeMerit in the heart of the Caps defense in a 4-2 victory over Toronto FC. But as centerbacks Greg Janicki and Mouloud Akloul returned from injury, and the team started to struggle, he found himself on the outside looking in.

While things looked a bit bleak at club level for the Auckland native, he received a chance to play internationally for New Zealand, and since breaking through in March with a debut against China, he now has three caps at the senior level.

That time he spent out of the Whitecaps starting lineup, when he didnt play a first-team match in nearly two months, helped change Boxalls mind set.

That time away just made me get that edge back, that motivation to keep plugging away, he said, and it seems to have paid off.

Veteran defender Jonathan Leathers has been impressed by the rookies progress in recent matches.

Hes a young player and hes learning quickly, Leathers said. Hes a big presence. He wins balls and his distribution is getting a lot better.

Since taking over as head coach, Tom Soehn has given Boxall more responsibility, starting him in the last four games in MLS and Nutrilite Canadian Championship play.

Michael is an interesting player, Soehn said. Theres still a lot of upside to the guy. One of the things you look for from your backs is to be more vocal, and you gain that with experience. Thats an area he can still improve upon, but as far as all the qualities you want out of a center back, hes got a lot to build off.

Another 90 minutes for Boxall, and unfortunately another narrow loss for the Whitecaps, this time going down 1-0 to Columbus Crew

And yet another loss for the 'Caps, 2-1 against the Colorado Rapids.
doesn't sound great for Boxall either with the general consensus on the Vancouver forums being that he had a shocker

I thought he got subbed at half time when the score was 0-1?  He wasn't responsible for the 2nd goal anyway.

seems both teams have their 1st half starting XI and a 2nd half starting XI, if that makes sense. Wish Id know it was going to be live on TV in the first place. Had to watch a rubbish stream for the 1st half.

Been browsing Vancouver Whitecaps official Youtube Channel- good for both team news and highlights (especially since the Whitecaps official website videos are not viewable outside North America for copyright reasons):

from a couple of weeks ago where Michael had a strong game (venue: BMO Stadium, Canada's new national football stadium, Toronto). Toronto won 2-1 to become Canadian champions 3-2 on aggregate:

When Rochat came out of Sunday's game, Soehn shifted left-back Jordan Harvey into a central role and Russell Teibert came on at left-back, which is a new position for the winger. He's played there in two reserves games now and is expected to provide cover on the weekend. New Zealand international Michael Boxall is the likely candidate the start at centre back along side DeMerit, with Greg Janicki or possibly Bilal Duckett seeing time in relief

Vancouver's MLS schedule: New York away this w/e ; LA away; Seattle home;
4 home games in October!! (bizarre fixture list- bit like the A-League at times...)

Wonder if he could be tempted to come back. How old is he? Youth marquee?

Edit: Maybe tempt him over with a guest slot during their off season. Hopefull co-incide it with when Siggy is due to pick up his inevitable 5th yellow.

Why not mutually beneficial - but we do need to a set number of actual signings, so may not have room for them all once this happens... whenever that may be.
