3-3 draw.
No OVH for Valour, and Patterson an unused sub for Ottawa.
Though as yet Soccerway only shows 1 sub made for each team??

Ottawa win 1-0.

No Patterson, but presumably he's still around the club with playoffs starting next weekend.

Ottawa upset Forge 2-1.
No Patterson. Is he still in Canada?

I think this result means Ottawa will host the Final.

Whilst Forge plays the winner of Cavalry verus York United, to find the other finalist.
Cavalry currently lead York 4-1.

Forge lose their home semi 0-1 to Cavalry. No Herdman for Cavalry so presumably they haven't recalled him from his loan deal to Vancouver FC - if that is even possible.

So Ottawa will host Cavalry in the final. Patterson hasn't been in a Ottawa squad for a while, so no idea whether he will be around for the CPL final.

CPL final, and Ottawa host Cavalry.

No idea if Patterson who hasn't featured for many weeks, is still at Ottawa.
Juneof86?

But he's had a tough season competing for mins there, with their main striker Sam Salter on fire.

Atlético Ottawa striker Sam Salter has scored in his past three games against Cavalry FC. The CPL Golden Boot winner has a stunning 24 goals in all competitions this season.

1-1 at 60 mins in the CPL Final.

Monty on the bench for Ottawa. His 1st squad apperance in a month or so.
Regardless hard to see him extending his time in Ontario.

Can't remember the age range rules for Auckland II in the new OFC Pro League, but if they wanted a mature age player to support their young kids in that comp, he'd be a useful pickup.

Monty comes on at 86 mins (1-1).
Now into extra time. Can he be the hero in Ottawa?

He'll never complain about a wet cold day in Auckland again.

Patterson is a champion of Canada. Ottawa 2-1 winners in ET.

Trophy presentation perhaps somewhere warm!

Before today Monty had only played 184 mins all CPL season (1 goal) over 17 apperances.

At least he gets a medal now for his efforts in Canada. Maybe if Ottawa's star striker Salter moves onto a higher level somewhere, Monty gets re-signed??

For now unless he's a skier/boarder he'll be looking forward to a trip back to Aotearoa. First maybe down to New Jersey to watch some of hs old AW mates play.

Former All Whites striker Monty Patterson has earned a Canadian Premier League winner’s medal after helping his Atlético Ottawa side to victory in blizzard-like conditions.

Atlético Ottawa beat Cavalry FC 2-1 after extra time in a game that took more than four hours, after snowstorms forced the match to be stopped five times in the first 90 minutes, so snow could be cleared from the pitch.

Snowblowers and shovels were needed to clear lines on the pitch, and trucks with snowplows were used to clear the field as extra time was delayed almost an hour.

Patterson (28), who joined the Canadian club after helping Birkenhead United reach last year’s final of the men’s National League, came off the bench in the 86th minute and played the spell of extra time, during which Atlético Ottawa scored their winner.

Patterson, who has earned 15 caps for the All Whites, was the co-winner of the Golden Boot in the 2024 men’s National League, scoring eight goals for Birkenhead United.

Played in front of 13,132 fans at TD Place Stadium in Ottawa, video footage of the match has gone viral, with many football followers amazed the game could be played in such conditions.
