Great goal, Argyle under the pump for the full 90, nail biting game to be at. Rory literally ran himself into the ground collapsing just before the full time whistle, was bloody hot too.

Have also heard the odd rumour that Swindon are keen on him back, but am very doubtful that even if it was true, that he would have any interest in dropping down as far a League Two.

An interview with Rory about my club's (Argyle's) serious fiscal position and the way players have been shafted by administrators... hopefully one we will not see again in NZ (RIP Kinz/Knights).

Fallon an trial with League One team Yeovil Town
http://www.thisissomerset.co.uk/Fallon-Savage-chance-Yeovil-Town-draw-Cardiff/story-13017935-detail/story.html

Yeovil Town 1, Cardiff City 1

By Chris Sweet at Huish Park

Second-half substitutes Bas Savage and Rory Fallon gave Yeovil Town late hope of victory against an impressive Cardiff City outfit last night.

Yeovil manager Terry Skiverton included the two trialists in his 21-man squad, with Savage almost netting a long-range effort in injury time.

However, the hosts had to settle for a draw against the Bluebirds, with Max Ehmers goal cancelling out Peter Whittinghams opener.

The Glovers registered the first attack of the match on three minutes, when Paul Wotton drilled a 25-yard free kick straight at Cardiff goalkeeper Tom Heaton.

Opposite number Jed Steer was called into action on eight minutes, parrying away a shot from Craig Fagan before watching the same striker spurn the rebound.

The England youth international was beaten nine minutes later as Yeovil conceded a soft goal from a corner.

Whittinghams shot possessed power but he was given too much space to shape the effort and catch the hosts napping.

Ehmer slid in to clear inches from his goal-line on 23 minutes as City continued to cause problems with their pace and movement, before former Plymouth Argyle striker Steve MacLean who signed a one-year deal at Yeovil earlier in the day was crowded out trying to turn and shoot when he met Nathan Joness low cross.

Paul Huntingtons header from Gavin Williams deep free-kick was knocked behind on 36 minutes, and Ed Upson was unable to get over a shot moments later.

With five minutes left in the half, Cardiff were unable to clear a wide set-piece from Gavin Williams, Heaton saving with his legs from Luke Aylings shot.

Yeovil took just six minutes after the interval to draw level as Ehmer finished at the far post when Gavin Williams wide free-kick drifted over heads in a crowded box.

The Glovers made their first change of the game on 52 minutes as speedy attacker Kieran Agard replaced Andy Williams.

On 65 minutes, Skivertons team were unable to clear their lines before replacement Rudy Gestede fired at Steer from the edge of the box.

Fallon was given his chance to shine on 72 minutes, replacing former Plymouth team-mate MacLean, while the lively Savage entered the fray with 15 minutes left as Gavin Williams came off.

The imposing Fallon and Savage complemented the pace of Agard, leaving City shaky at the back. Mark Hudson nervously booted behind for a corner before Heatons chest kept out Ehmers flick.

Heaton beat away Billy Gibsons low free-kick on 86 minutes before he was left scurrying across his goal-line in the dying seconds, following Savages shot. Then Fallon spurned a chance when left in space, with the referee readying the final whistle.

Yeovil Town (3-5-2): Steer; Huntington, NGala, Ehmer; Ayling (Bell-Baggie 77), Upson (Savage 75), G Williams (Gibson 75), Wotton, Jones (Haynes-Brown 70); A Williams (Agard 52), MacLean (Fallon 52).

Cardiff City (4-4-2): Heaton; McNaughton (Farah 67), Keinan (Hudson h-t), Gyepes, Naylor; Cowie (Mason 69), Kiss (Miller 77), Gunnarsson (Taiwo h-t), Whittingham (Evans 67); Parkin (Gestede 63), Fagan (Earnshaw 63).

Fallon and Bas Savage are very similar players, albeit Fallon appears to be quite a bit better. I'd think that Yeovilwould be unlikely to sign both. Savage is one of the most derided players in the lower leagues, I read recently something about someone hating Reading becausde they'd inflicted Bas Savage on English football by giving him a debut and letting him think he was good enough. Based on what I've seen and heard I'd sign Fallon over Savage any day.

RORY SIGNS IN AT HUISH PARKIs it a typo or would he go for a one month contract ??

"Yeovil Town Football Club have confirmed the signing of New Zealand international striker Rory Fallon.

The 29-year-old forward joins the Glovers on a one month contract after his release from Plymouth Argyle. He brings with him the experience gained from almost 400 League appearances and nearly eighty goals."

Month contract..??

Also evidence that he is doubly blessed ...

"I've been blessed that he has given me the opportunity. I've had a tough couple of seasons from a club level. Last season I struggled with my groins."..sic
