5-0 as of now. Not much to do on Marinovic's end

2nd leg in Seattle on Friday

The pundits pre game suggest Stefan will be number one for the play offs and next season.

Certainly, Ousted (their main keeper) is supposed to be leaving the club. 0-0 in the 60th minute vs Seattle at the moment

Thats a pretty good leap in quality. Going from 4th tier Germany to regular starter at MLS

First game finishes 0-0 at BC Place.

If Vancouver get past Seattle over the 2 legs on Friday - they will qualify for two legged Western Conference Final (dates 21 Nov & 30 Nov).

The MLS actually takes a break for next FIFA window ie AWs v Peru.

Handy for Stefan seeing as he is establishing himself as Vancouver's number 1. The last thing he would want is for Ousted to get another chance even though, as mentioned, he is leaving at the end of this season.

They played the first leg of their conference semi-final today (effectively the quarter final) and drew 0-0 - Can't see Ousted getting a chance with so few games remaining. They're not likely to change their keeper halfway trhough the playoffs!

The one Kiwi who’s team could challenge for MLS title.

Starting at Atlanta United.

1-0 Atlanta and a man down after Kendall Waston shown a straight red after VAR decision.

Waston is #4 in the GIF. Soft call, took an age.

Could be a long day at the office for Marinovic, one way traffic so far.

Many pundits are picking Atlanta to win the title

They are super well funded and have bought in the latest 'next Maradona', Ezequiel Barco

Going down to 10 men against them so early would have surely given Marinovic a busy day

LA Galaxy visit Vancouver who have Marinovic in goal. Sadly too early for big Zlatan to make an appearance.

3-0 down in 30 minutes lol

Looks like the third goal was his fault from what I'm reading, two defensive lapses for the first two but was completely out of position for the third

Edit: Whitecaps now playing with 9 men before the half is even over. Should be a goalfest

Edit 2: Saves a penalty in injury time, apparently he's performing really well despite the scoreline

Getting no help from his defence big Stef, though commentator has a go at him for conceding the 3rd.

Sometimes wish Marinovic could look more angry with his defenders. Can give the impression of being too much a nice guy when they let him down. Maybe still sort of feeling his way in at the club as no 1 keeper, after replacing long serving Ousted?

Vancouver had Reyna & Juarez both sent off after VAR, at 40 minutes when already down 3-0!!

As Mrs Miis states this will be ugly.

Bright spot, is Cory Brown sitting at Fresno FC (USL feeder team for Vancouver) - may just be a bit closer to MLS calculations for Whitecaps now!

6-0 at the final whistle, one goal shy of equalling the MLS record win.
