Lowlights here - mercilessly short at only 4 mins. Does well to save the pen.

50 minutes with 9 nine men. 'Flush it down the dunny' and move on. Hopefully not sympton of a wider problem at Vancouver - 2nd road hiding (losing 4-1 at Atlanta) after send off(s).

HT Vancouver verus RSL and is 0-0. Marinovic in goal. Going better than last week.

Despite yet another sending off Whitecaps win 2-0.

Nice clean sheet for Marinovic but discipline seems a problem for Vancouver. The big Kiwi himself got a yellow late, and that’s at least 4 team red cards to date this season.

Kiwi face off.

Marinovic in goal, and Michael Boxall starts for Minnesota as Vancouver visit Minneapolis.

Out of today's game verus Houston.

"Marinović suffered a left knee sprain in yesterday’s training session."

Hopefully his replacement Brian Rowe doesn't have a blinder.

Whitecaps 2   Houston 2.

Two late goals being Houston (90 mins) and Vancouver (94 mins)

Marinovic misses a 2nd game due to his knee injury, as Vancouver host San Jose.

Another 2-2 draw. So Vancouver ain’t keeping clean sheets in Marinovic’s absence.

Still no Marinovic for Vancouver as they travel to Dallas.

Bernie Ibini gets a rare start.

Still absent as Vancouver host New England

Marinovic out and another score draw for Whitecaps. This time 3-3.

Hopefully he gets over his injury soon as with the amount of goals they're shipping, he might be straight back into the starting XI.

Makes his return via the bench as Vancouver host Chicago.

His fellow Kiwi Collier is also on the bench for Chicago.

On the bench again as Vancouver lose 3-1 at DC United.

Wayne Rooney subbed on at 58 mins for DC and credited with an assist.

Somewhat ironically David Ousted who was effectively forced out of Vancouver by Marinovic, was the keeper for DC, whilst big Kiwi rode the pine.

A recent interview with Croat Kiwi, where he keeps his good humour despite some of the qtns being in dumb category.

Back in goal at last, but can’t prevent Vancouver losing 2-0 to near neighbours Seattle in front of 41,000.

Bit of a howler by Marinovic for the 2nd goal.

Whitecaps down to ten men from 77 mins. Score already 2-0 at that point.

Boxall scored from a header against Galaxy. Was muscling Zlatan no less at one stage.

Oops wrong thread lol.

Finishes 2-1 to Vancouver.

Tuiloma not required off the bench, Gleeson not in match day squad for Portland.

Great away win for Whitecaps, Timbers have been a form team.

Just nitpicking here but shouldn't the title read Whitecaps / USA?

Same as anyone in the Phoenix squad, they play in Australia...

Whitecaps climb to 7th (27 games), just one point behind Portland (26 games) who currently occupy the last Western Conference playoff spot in 6th.

Regular MLS season has 35 games - ending October 28th.

Looks like was all Whitecaps in 2nd half, but just couldn't score.

Marinovic tormented again somewhat by a Peruvian with Raul Ruidiaz bagging a double for Seattle in the first half. Ruidaz has been a bit of star for Seattle since World Cup, scoring 5 goals in 9 games.

The Sounders are form team in the MLS on a 9 game winning streak.

Big game for Vancouver as they host Dallas.

Marinovic in goal.

Whitecaps lose 2-1, which is blow to their playoff hopes.

Marinovic should really have come off his line, re Dallas's first goal from a free kick.

https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/09/23/goal-mat...

Vancouver slip to 8th as LA Galaxy beat Seattle 3-0. These are the other 2 sides (7th and 6th), they will probably be battling with over the next few weeks, for the last playoff spot.

Whitecaps have 5 games left in the regular season - one game in hand over Galaxy - whom they play this weekend in LA in a big game.

Big Stef verus Zlatan and cute little 7 year old US patriots.

Actually there's another idea for Nix pre-game entertainment. Cute little kids singing the national anthem, plus fireworks.

Whitecaps lose 3-0, at LA Galaxy. Big Zlatan with a double.

Marinovic in goal. Not much e could do about any of the goals, incl 2 well taken pens.

https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2018/09/30/highligh...

Vancouver now 5 points off RSL in 6th, and 4 points off Galaxy (who have 1 game more) in 7th

Marinovic in goal as Vancouver win 2-1 at Toronto.

Picks up a yellow late for time wasting I presume.

Keeps Whitecaps slim playoff hopes alive, being 3 points behind 6th placed RSL.
