The real question is whether the teams Max and co play against have players called up. He might be the only full international in his team but others might have quite a few.  Loads of British players have a second nationality, especially African and Caribbean.
Supporter of the world's best football teams: Waikato..., Kingz FC, NZ Knights, The Nix, The Argyle & of course the All Whites

Still no Bindon as Reading lose 1-0.

He played 2 L1 games, with 2 Reading wins. Plus the 4-0 win at Millwall in the League Cup. 3 clean sheets.

Since he's been out 2 losses in L1 for Redaing, plus knocked out of the League Cup by Ipswich. No clean sheets

Marto

Seem you will most likely be correct Marto. 7 of the 12 League One games this weekend postponed in the FIFA window. Including games for Reading (Bindon), Burton Albion (Crocombe) & Shrewsbury (Mata), all postponed.
https://us.soccerway.com/national/england/league-one/20232024/regular-season/r76454/

So with luck Crocombe & Mata are available for the AWs in October. Plus Bazeley convinces a fit Bindon to also get a taste of senior international football.

Oh dear...
The suspended three point penalty that was initially applied earlier in the season (as a punishment alongside the already confirmed loss of one point) has been triggered.

Drops the Royals into 21st, and into the relegation zone on two points (long way to go, don't sweat it 😅) just behind Wigan, who themselves suffered an eight point deduction prior to the season kicking off. They've now given up 67% of the points they had previously earnt this season, so a bit of a sad state of affairs.

Hopefully Tyler is still receiving his pay-packet!!

Bindon's back from injury and straight into the starting lineup. Jack Iredale on the bench for Bolton.

Bindon full game in a 2-1 win. Two late goals for the home team. Basically Bindon plays, Reading don't lose.

Jack Iredale on at 75 mins (Bolton up 1-0 at that point)

Arsenal reportedly interested. Sent a scout to the Exeter game today... which he didn't play in, as above

Crikey. Things have moved fast in young Bindon's world the last few months.

You'd think the Americans will be targeting him now, for sure for their USNMT program. Apparently of late thay have mostly won the battle with their southern neighbours over any promising dual nationality Mexican Americans.

Hopefully Bazeley can sell the NZ story to Bindon & his parents in the UK next month. He could continue a great record of quality AWs CBs in the EPL.

Congratulations to the lad on committing his future to New Zealand ahead of the USA. Great news for us, and coochiee will be over the moon as well - They took one Tyler off us, so only fair we got another Tyler back!

Fantastic thread that The Niche Cache posted up on twitter regarding his selection too. Read the whole thing, a great insight into it all + Americans upset 😭 you love to see it! ⬇️

But it seems that all is not well on the club front. Reports out today indicate players will not be paid on time, and that the club is still to pay it's tax bill to HMRC. Further points deductions from the EFL are now looming ominously. ⬇️

Hopefully those Arsenal links as mentioned above come to fruition, because Reading are an absolute shambles at the minute.

From the above Brian Sciaretta tweets. Crikey!

- While his mother played for New Zealand, she was born in Illinois. Her father (Tyler's grandfather), served in Vietnam and was awarded two Purple Hearts. It added to making this a tougher decision (switching nationality)

Yeah would've been a pretty tough decision for Tyler. He's pretty loyal to family, and he also really likes the American u19/ u23 coach. But he's a kiwi and has strong ties to home.

Kiwi L1 derby. Reading (22nd) host Burton Albion (20th).
https://us.soccerway.com/matches/2023/09/30/england/league-one/reading-fc/burton-albion-fc/4088146/

Note at the moment Reading's game 15th Oct is postponed but Albion's isn't. AWs play 14th & 18th Oct. So Crocombe may have to miss the Congo game in Spain (Tzanev to start?) but be available for Socceroos game.

Growing unrest ahead of this match. Off field dramas are coming to a head regarding club ownership, tax debts, player payments (fulfilled for September).

Will not be surprised to see disruption in this one. A lot of talk of a protest pitch invasion going ahead as well. A statement has been issued ahead of the game too. ⬇️

It's a sad old state of affairs I'm afraid.

Bindon playing a RB/RWB role this morning against Burton Albion. Versatility - Love it!

By all accounts he has been super impressive again today. Bloody good to see the young lad doing so well, and so early on in his career. We could be on to something with this kid.

Game has just gone F/T. Another clean sheet in a 0-0 draw. Sounds like Crocombe in goal for Burton Albion had an equally good game himself. 👏

Crocombe had a great game, made some good saves and kept the Burron side in the game as they got dominated in the 2nd half.

Tyler looked great at right back, his usual calm head and intelligent game, another string to his bow and Bazely and Readings in attendance to watch the two kiwi lads.

Full game in a 3-1 loss. Reading down to 22nd.
One of Bindon's team mates on the bench got a red card at 91 mins, so must have been some sideline incident.

Unfortunately Reading lose 2-1 to remain in the drop zone spots.
Bindon was playing RB which will explain why he was where he was for the goal chance.

Be interesting to see where Baz plays him, noting RB a bit of a problem AWs spot.

Been great to see Bindon so quicklty become a regular starter at Reading, but otherwise it's pretty horrid at the club. All the off field dramas, players not being paid etc, and now terrible on field form. Bindon full game as Reading get thrashed 4-0 at Charlton.

Match has just kicked off.
Bindon continues at RB despite calls for him to be played in his natural CB position.

Probably getting to the point now where results need to be ground out to help ease Reading away from the relegation zone.

Full game in a 1-2 loss. Fleetwood's 2nd goal in 92nd min.
All a bit rotten at Reading (23rd/2nd last), now winless in 6 league games (1D & 5L)
