if he has signed something already then it has to be outside of England doesn't it?

Allegedly

legally yes, although I am sure that Reid (and all players in similar situations) have something already in place well before they can officially announce it.

I remember when he was still in Denmark and before the world club that there was a strong rumour an Italian club was interested in him - the club from Sardinia I believe. If it is Italy hopefully it is an Inter Milan this time.

Winston was ball watching when Liverpool scored their 2nd goal.

He was taken off with a hamstring injury.

Just saw on Twitter a transfers page say he is off to Spurs at the end of his contract.

I've heard Spurs a few times in the last day from some usually reliable Twitter accounts.

Thats a ballsy move but I think if West Ham want to keep pressing up the table, they will have to swallow some poison and play him. I would not be surprised if he became injured at the next FIFA window with West Ham refusing to play ball....

I was aways under the impression that it was against some rule to sign any 'pre-contract' between English clubs, but it sounds as though he hasn't signed anything and has just said' chur bro, will do the cashy for you eh'.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Basically, it seems he's definitely going but anything after that is guesswork.

talk this morning of him going to Spurs, which I think would upset a lot of hammers fans if it happened. I think that most people could accept him going to a Liverpool or an Arsenal, but Spurs?  Fudge that noise.

With 6 months or less left on existing contract, is not fair that they are able to negotiate new employment opportunities? I would have thought that it is common word wide and something player associations would make sure is in place.

I read some time back Everton made WH an offer which was reportedly rejected by Reid on the grounds he didn't want a move away from London.

or go to a club with no hope of finishing top four, that being his reason for desertion sorry career growth in the first place. Move along....nothing to see.

But it's not as if it was his boyhood club and dream to play for you forever was it?  Not like Robbie Keane.

Or Aaron Lennon

true, but take Mark Noble for example who might need to move to get full-time football. No problem with that. Club and player loyalty is not completely dead but reality kicks in. I genuinely wish Winston the best but deep down wished he'd end up with a bigger club than Spurs.

Its more likely to be a move (if we are talking Spurs) for the money than any great expectation of playing champions league or winning the premiership is it? to an outsider WHU look just as likely as Spurs toachieve anything on the pitch at present.

to an outsider WHU look just as likely as Spurs toachieve anything on the pitch at present.

As someone who is hardly a Spurs supporter, this is far from true. Spurs are in a cup final in a few weeks, West Ham haven't been near one in almost 9 years. Also one's in Europe and the other isn't close.

Three for me, and two for them.

Spurs are quite obviously a better team, but they are also prone to being basketcases every 2nd season.

so that's decided then. Winston's moving to europen legends Tottenham Hotspur who last won in Europe 31yrs ago and last topped the first division in 1961.
