I can't stand it either, but it's rife throughout modern publications, no one cares anymore. If spellcheck doesn't pick it up then it's apparently ok.

Exactly, he only watches the All Whites so why the hell is he writing about NZ Football as a whole. There's plenty of better answers to that question of course

I would hazard a guess and say that in the case of Billy and Danny, they will feel like football oracles because their opinion is conveyed to the masses...

I loved the part where he says we should play in Wellington, not Auckland where it would just be for the money (A fair but easy argument), but then goes on to contradict himself by saying everyone should pay a whole lot more to go and watch!

And then he realised he was 300 words short so he just rambled about pointless hypotheticals. Top work!
