New A League Teams for 2009/10

was just looking on wikipedia [stares at the screen with a blank expression] and checked out what they have to say about the expansion teams for 09-10.

The likes of Melbourne #2, Wollongong, Geelong, Sydney #2, Canberrra, and a Pacific Islands all feature in the article.
I can't help but wonder..how many of these franchises will have enough supporters/sponsors and will attract new players to go play their trade there?

What are your thoughts?
I'm quite against having a 2nd melbourne or sydney team. Come on, it's OZ, not England, Spain, Italy..
Don't know about Geelong and Wollongong...
And as much as I'd like to see a Pacific Islands team play in the A-League, I don't see that happening..especially since it might present the same challenges as the Nix do..because that team would be another Oceania team playing for Oz, who part of Asia.....

perhaps having a PI team might give the Nix push to be part of the ACL a boost, I doubt it will happen though, theres less money in Pacific Island football than in NZ.
