Allegedly

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!
And isn't it illegal for Gold Coast to be talking to Smeltz? Due to some contractual stuff that I don't even pretend to understand. Oh well, if he does go I suppose it is good to have Kiwis spread throughout the league, having all our eggs in one basket is not wise at all.
I hope we get Joel Porter next season!
Horus works at said Sunday paper? or for the Gold Coast?
trying to peddle this story and give it more legs than its got. someone lock this down until we hear something from Smeltzy, gold coast or Tony.
In the meantime its scaremongering to sell rubbish newspapers.

We'll wait and see mate. That was last week surely.
If you want to tell us who it is, then it is worth listening too. In the meantime we'll see what Terry and Tony can come up with. Perhaps we should have assigned YF litter bearers to carry him and and his family through the city while someone yells 'Make way' Make way'For mine this needs a source or to be shut down.
Horus' pensmanship sounds rather like the Sunday News or wateva it is.

The Sun newspaper continues to be boycotted far and wide on Merseyside since its gutter press efforts in covering the Hillsborough Disaster in April, 1989.
The Sunday News merits similar treatment by NZ's footballing public. It lacks quality and, more importantly, credibility, given as it has always been a paper targeted mainly at the cerebrally challenged - the league- and rugby-following fraternity. Hence its general content, and anti-football nature.A dog with a bone :)
. i really wish people would read Tony's posts on issues like this, it saves alot of stupid posts
. Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
20/5/20
I also conur with whoever said people need to actually look at Tony's post.
Plus Hous, if GCU have so much as rung Smeltzy up to ask if he'd even be interested they are looking at a pretty big fine and a lot of hatred right off the bat.

It appears Gold Coast United have no interest in signing Wellington Phoenix striker Shane Smeltz, or any Kiwi for that matter.
It's been reported the A-League expansion club has agreed in principle to a three year deal with Smeltz but coach Miron Bleiberg has rubbished those claims.
He says the reports are way off the mark and they haven't even spoken to Smeltz about a possible deal.
Bleiberg says under Football Federation Australia regulations any New Zealander playing for an Australian team is deemed as an overseas import so that makes them a unattractive proposition.

It comes following a Sunday News report that Smeltz had struck a three year deal with the Gold Coast after being left insulted by the Phoenix's offer of a contract extension.
But Gold Coast coach Miron Bleiberg swears he hasn't made an offer to Smeltz and in fact hasn't spoken to the striker in years.

But Bleiburg says the report is way off the mark as clubs aren't allowed to approach players who're coming off contract until today.
Something just on the news about Smeltz and Adelaide, missed it
