Just had the dom knock on my door pushing subscriptions. Straight up told them Im not a fan of their reporting and dont even care to use Stuff. So then they tried pushing a free subscription for 12months to a magazine of my choice, that was my queue to drop the 'yeah nah'.

Why do the bubbles say such terrible things in articles in the Dom Post?  A few weeks ago there was an article about Waitt being coach and the quote about hard line stance was something along the lines of "he lets us know when we act like twats".  Today there is an article about Barry Lewis and his son playing together and it had the following quotes:

* "likes taking the piss"

* "got a bit of shit"

* "they're not softcocks"

I have no problem with swearing, but can they not make an effort to sound a little sophisticated when giving quotes to the press?

I don't thing there is anything pompous about it. It give props, doesn't give an over reaction and speaks about the incident for what it is.

I think its one of the better articles Sam has done considering most are tripe.
