CRAZY ABOUT ROMANIAN RUGBY

In case anyone is interested, here's a blog I posted about how I've become swept up in another kind of fever - RWC fever and becoming a fervent supporter of Romania Rugby (initially my "2nd RWC team" but now it's more like my 1st!).

Crazy About Romanian Rugby

Here's a match report I blogged earlier about the first game I attended as a Romanian fan too:

My First Day as a Romanian Rugby Fan

Any comments, thoughts, or even abuse (I guess) welcomed
Funny as. I was at the two Invercargill games as well. Right behind the Romanian bench. I would have looked for you if I'd known. The atmosphere at the Scotland game was awesome. If only the ref had blown the whistle 10 minutes early...
I'll be at the Palmy game tonight as well... in a Romania tshirt + beanie.hlmphil2011-09-28 14:13:17

I'd go with Cruden, but it won't happen unless Slade has a shocker

sadly you are right. And given he won't have a shocker against canada or argentina, he is going to be there for the rest.

Heard the IRB CEO on radio sport this morning and he actually came off pretty well, made some good points regarding the short turnaround for the minnows, the mouth guard fine, tweeting Samoan and all the rest

Interview should be up on the radio sport website in good time.

So lucky to have Piri (Saw him at Otautahi getting a Tattoo during the week, don't Tattoo's take over a week to heal?

AB's were so flat today but managed to get plenty of points, which can be looked as a good thing. Need to have Kaino, McCaw and Read at the top of their games, to counter Pocock (mostly), Elsom and Samo. But the Aussies didn't play well either, they could hardly pass the ball in their back-line.

If Slade is out, I have little faith in Cruden, but any player can have 2 good games right? And so many other injury worries too.

I always get the feeling when Cruden plays, they don't seem to want to pass to him as much as they would another #10. The boy has talent, the other players need to show faith in him.

Isnt it rather ironic that after preforming like crap mostly for the Hurricanes, most of the same backline is going to be required to bring home the cup.

Very much so. Watching that game last night, Weepu is running the backline from 9 now, (France has been doing it for years). If he goes down we are really in trouble. Cowan is pants at the moment.
P.S. Anyone else noticed that we have the same semifinalists as in 87 - NZ, Aus, France, Wales. NZ vs France final at Eden park?

Ironic or revealing? Henry has the players respect, doesn't appear that Hammet does.

Yeah tbf I have been recovering from a big weekend today and haven't seen a lot of the news but I would have thought it'd be a headline in the mainstream stuff for sure.

I can't see why people are critcising Donald. For a 4th choice no.10 he's pretty good, and he's actually performed well for the All Blacks before, which people convieniently forget. Can't see him getting any game time though, and I'd rather have Cruden.

50/50 v Aus I reckon

Don't worry, we can still do this. Come on Alll Blacks. Do it for the kids of Christchurch.

You know we can never win this thing when we are hot favourites so hopefully we can win it in adversity this time.
