With the season nearly upon us and having been there for the Hurricanes games, some things IMHO just don't change. The Stadium food supplied at the food stalls for example.

Other than the Pies, I have yet to eat something that is warm to hot in temperature. Not even the chips are hot, usually more tepid in nature.

The Burgers look like something from outer space and I heard a rumour ESR recently tested one and found 3 new substances that were not on the periodic table.

The Hot Dogs need to be reported to Fair Go for false representation.

The prices are a rip too. In fact the only thing nice about the catering stalls are the large numbers of staff trying to help you being served. My complaint is soley about the food and food quality that is being served up.

Perhaps as a result of this poll, someone just might take notice to do something to improve the expensive experience of buying food at The Stadium - Yeah Right!

Morgan Spurlock would have a field day.

They would do better to get more individual stalls from samll restaurants and cafes. I remember that Kopi used to have a stall and their satay wrap was awesome.

Actually they need to go to a football game in the US and get some ideas. I went to a USC game at the Coliseum a few years back and the food was amazing, best I've ever seen at a sports event. I remember sitting there with a pork rib sandwich and the hugest homemade lemonade you've ever seen.

OK, hungry now, off to lunch

If its anything like AMI (I'm guessing it is) the whole lt should be shut down.

Re: the staff.  My kids school use serving at a stall as a supplement to their fund raising.  A parent could be on the serving team & watch the games free!!

I have to say one thing- you guys have so many staff working on the stalls! It's great! The queues for food and beer at our Stade de Tard  are diabolical. Also TD seems to have taken a "give the mentally challenged a job" approach to staffing said stalls.

Food's crap, but those cute plastic Tui 6 packs are adorable!!

The burgers are bizarre, I think they are baked then put under the heat lamps, the bottom buns have usually turned into crispy crunchy biscuits, and the burger meat - well I haven't had burgers that bad since I asked for a cheese burger from a van outside Parkhead for a Celtic v Hibs many many years ago, and he took the burger out of a pot of boiling water

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

We need Cevapcici.

Or scotch pies and bovril at least, perhaps not  - jag and I would never see any of the game as we'd spent the match in the food stall queue!

I'm surprised it wasn't dipped in batter and deep fried.

Just fill up on beer.

But even the Beer at the stadium is expensive. Even in mini stubbies that they serve.  Ginger, I had an almost Burger at West Brom some years ago and that pratt too boiled the meat patti. I was crook for 4 days afterwards. I have heard some people have complain of crook stomachs after eating the Stadium Burgers, the alleged Hot dogs were also mentioned as another source.

Thank God for the BB BBQ, fill up before going to the game. Just a shame you cant buy something edible during the game at the stadium.

Expensive and average. I only ever bother getting a punnet of chips before the game (which are pretty hard to get wrong) because during it obviously you want to watch the game. The food is over priced for what you get but they know its your only option so they crank up the prices.

Tui or Export.

I *WISH* they had Speights! As far as cheaper beer goes, it's drinkable.

I'm still rooting for Monteiths to sponser the 'nix though. (And my reputation means I must mention Guinness at the stadium would make me happy)

The XXXX at Suncorp is so sh*te (either flavour) that I had to drink two OP (Over Priced) Bourbon and Cokes whilst the locals drank a dunny water!!! No wonder i struggled to remember the second half of every game I went to

New World in Thorndon used to have six-packs, but they seemed to have been out of stock lately.
Failing that, you can get them at the Malthouse and Temperance, but you'll have to dish out $7.50 for a bottle...

The beer's not expensive. It's cheaper than at a bar.
The food's reasonably priced too.

But both are crap!

Every time I've bought a punit of chips they have been tepid at best. Sometimes receiving a nice hot punit on a cold day goes down well. But this lot don't know what hot is (Except for their pies) for the most part.

Typical that yet another conversation has swung the way of being about alcohol...when it started out as being about stadium food

Allegedly
