For this test:

How

Redmond

Taylor

Fulton

Ryder

McCullum

Flynn

Vettori

Southee

Mills

Martin

[/QUOTE]

That's not bad, but I'd swap Fulton and Taylor, and Southee and Mills in the batting order.

I'd hold off from making any wishes on this until I see the tests in Australia. But would love to see fully fit Jimmy F back in the side.el grapadura2008-11-19 21:07:14

Same here on Franklin. Looking good for Wellington in the match against Canterbury, 69 and 3-22.

Yes, Jimmy may come back later which would be nice and once Oram is back we'll have to see if he's ever going to bowl again. If he does then O'Brien is likely to go again and if he just bats then it should be for Flynn. It's likely all Oram's injuries may be bowling related so there's rumours of him just batting, like he used to before his Black Cap days started

I've always thought that's one of the worst things Bracewell did to NZ cricket, trying to turn Oram into a bowling all-rounder. Should have just let the man do hat he always did, and I'm sure Oram would have had a more consistent and successful international career.

Good goalkeeper at PHBHS too. I could have sworn he was 26 and still at school cos he was so huge as a kid. I asked their coach for Oram's ID before we started a game

NZ won the toss - put the Aussies in.  Great start.  The test should at least go past 3 days then....

Least there won't be an international tissue shortage - The Aussie commentators have nothing to wank over!

Aussies in general are over their cricket team, and Victorians in particular. They're sick of the off field antics, the boys club mentality, the NSW favouritism and the sulking. Everyone at my work is loving this!

Sounds like how I feel when the AB's are losing, I go against them in EVERY game, I am over them

Go for NZ at everything else

When you put a team into bat 3 wickets in the first session is minimum to my mind. Yes we won the session but we need to win the rest of the day aswell. Why didn't we play Mills? I dont quite understand that, I think his batting at test level is starting to live up to the standards we know he can reach, not that much less than what Elliot has to offer

Channel 9 are awesome to listen to when you are a neutral, but jesus they are f**king me off already with blatant bias. Lawry and Chappel and Greig, while legends are all very close to being past it

Was listening in the bath (I dont usually have baths at 4pm, I have medical condition which needed it ) and they are. Problem is though that the radio comes through quicker so it feels strange.

Top effort so far. The only thing that worries me though is that if they're struggling to bat on this pitch, how are we gonna go with our majestic top order and impetuous and cavalier middle order?

Rolled for under 100 tbf.

It worries me batting late today which seems likely. We'll struggle. On the positive side, if the Aussies are knicking everything our openers probably won't even hit the ball - so may last longer, albeit without scoring.
LBW and Bowled  are paying over $4 at TAB for first dismissal. Get on it cos when Redmond goes, he'll go without hitting the ball

McCullum what a catch!!! 8/160. Should (i say that very loosely) bowl them out for under 200 now.

Three for me, and two for them.

The fact that this is happening at the Gabba, where the Aussies traditionally kick the sh*t out of tourists, is amazing!!
