Styris and Flynn havent done well, in this game they have slowed us down considerably, surely Elliot is a better option than one of these guys at the moment. We should have got 260 plus

Taylor is also shocking at seizing up on his way to 100, did it against SL at Napier when he got his maiden. Guess it comes with experience. Frustrating that he gets out the next ball aswell bopman2008-10-14 19:37:21

Yeah pretty frustrating, 230 would be good with Mills and Vettori now. But this is Bangladesh and we haven't made 250 in three ODIs. A bit dissapointing, I guess we'll just have to knock them over for 100 and get a convincing win.

Decent little hit out here. 235/7 heading into the last over.

25 off last two overs, changed what I thought about Mills  and Vettori hitting out. Decent effort, but nothing special.

Decent from 13/2 but not great from where How and Taylor had got us

And not great considering - slow pitch or not - this is a severely weakened Banga side which we usually hammer by a few hundred runs and we are struggling to beat them without half of their top team. Should win this one though.

All the talk about the Bangys being severely weaked is a bit off i think, they haven't lost 13 front line players. They have lost players much like we have, the guys coming to the end or past it and the guys who float around the level below the national side and get a game every now and then. As far as i am aware they probably only lost one of the 1st choice side

Pretty much, this side is just the youngsters we've been playing against for a year or two but another year older and more experienced.

Well, too many of their names are similar, it gets me confused. Hossain, Hasan kind of thing. But losing half their team or not, we should still smash them.

This guy Iqbal is pretty good, 34 out of 43 runs. Average of 27 - good for Bangladesh.

Not rascist, I would say the same about anyone. It just happens to be that some of their names are similar, it is not because they are Bangladeshi.

Bangladesh will take the award for the most boring innings known to man! At 75/5 you've got to be thinking, ok we can't win so I'm gonna play for myself, p[lay a few shots and get some points, that Naeem guy 43 off 154????? What a waste, sure its a not out, but noone will remember it.

Batting practice for upcoming test series.  Pretty sensible (if not attractive) under the circumstances really.

How are england ahead of us on the ODI rankings? We have played them 10 times this year won 6/7 and lost 2 i think. One upset series thrashing over the Jaapies and they are ahead of us? WTF?

upset win over the S/A team is worth more, you'll probably find some of our winds from a few years back will have dropped off too - works similar to the Footy rankings.

Beating teams ahead of you earns more points than beating teams below you. In a nutshell.

Anyone know where you can watch the ICL on the internet?

Cheapest option i've found is the live scoring through cric-info. Catch the highlights package for the good stuff later on ;) They may even have video now too...

I dont think there is much coverage because the BCCI are telling media outlets they will eat there children if they cover it? Apart from the guys who owns it

Its on Cricinfo.

And to quote wikipedia

Broadcasting of ICL

Since the whole ICL is conducted by Zee Telefilms, The ICL is broadcast worldwide on Zee Sports. In 2008, Ten Sports also carried the ICL games.

Should be interesting. I'd like to see O'Brian have a go as i'm confident Patel will be out for Aussie, you can't have two spinners against them. But on the other hand this wicket should provide some great opportunities for Vettori and Patel to work in together!!!!!!

two spinners in a test?? cool!! about time, I reckon you can go with two spin options against Aussie, they've always stuggled against good off spin bowlers....and Patel has caused them problems before.

Well Redmond better stand up, how do you think he'll go against the Aussies? Could be embarrasing. Two spinners a definite for me, and I think Timmy over O'Brien. Interesting to see how patient Jesse is.

Your Joking.

I couldnt believe in the 1/2 in hour between leaving tech and arriving home the bangers had only scored two runs....

But 2 dropped catches? Ever the Bangers are batting terribly, even for them or were on fire.

Wow! 8/1 in the 14th over. They really are taking it slow.

Must be one of the slowest starts in test cricket I've ever seen.
