Ball is moving around a bit. Could be tricky for the Pakistani's as well, who haven't been batting that well. Hopefully they smack up a 300 run lead and go for the win by an innings!

Rain... Booo. I'm keen to see the Pakistanis finish them for under 80 !

Might be good that Pakistan won't have too much time to bat today (if they do finish off the bottom order).

All out 127. Now Pakistan will implode no doubt.

Nothing more annoying than letting Aussie off the hook

If they are no more than one down tonight I'll be pleased.

I can't believe Fvck Head Ponting chose to bat first on a blatant green, patchy deck. If Aussie lose this test it was lost at the toss.

Fuck this stupid game

On the subject of the pitch there should be far more like them in Test cricket. Makes things far more exciting and interesting. I mean half this day has been washed out yet it's still been a magnificent days cricket, you can't say that alot.

Three for me, and two for them.

Do you mean pitches NOT like Adelaide and Napier? If so, I agree and so to do many others. A pitch needs to be doing something on the morning of day one, flattening out for days 2/3 and starting to dry and wear for days 4/5. This pitch looks rather fresh for a Sydney pitch so I'm interested to see how it changes over the next four days. Wondering if it may be a bit to under-prepared.

Yes. And any subcontient pitch. Some groundsmen honestly have no idea.

Anyway, they survived (YAAAAAAAAAAY). Will enjoy watching the morning session tomorrow before heading off up north for the week. Hopefully when I get back i'll read on cricinfo a headline along the lines of 'Pakistan demolish Australia to win by an innings'.

Yeah but most of the subcontinent groundsmen don't get a say. They are told how it is to be prepared. Australia like to prepare their 'traditional' pitches according to each ground and similar here [Napier].

Yeah I really hope Pakistan dig in and beat them convincingly.

Oh and I still hope Watson cops a beamer to the head. And a pair for Ponting would be nice too.

Fuck this stupid game

Pakistan none down. Proves the pitch is not impossible to bat on. The way Warney and his mates were going on Pakistan would be 4 down by the end of play. 5kux2010-01-03 22:29:15

Shane Warne also said they should declare at 7/60 to have a crack at the Paki top order. I reckon Michael the numpty Man U fan on here would know more than him.

Well Pakistan only faced four overs and were sort of lucky a couple of times, so that didn't really prove anything.

Wellington are playing today at Pukekura park. Wish I could go, bet it's not windy up there.

Think the Aussie v Pakistan series continues today. Really hope Pakistan can show up to this one.

Ps - I don't like the pink strip

Wrong, was there for New Years till last night and it never stopped blowing its arse out, was quite cold at times at Pukekura Park, but it really is a beautiful ground - fantastic to watch cricket from.  Was positioned near the top of the bank just behind the bowlers arm, and I don't remember ever having quite such a good view.

Game itself was a little bit of a yawn, but I guess thats mainly because 20/20 doesn't due it for me - lacks the slow buildup to a climax that cricket requires.

Does Oram bowl for them ? Or is he a specialist batsman. His tight bowling will be key for CD. Other than that there's really nothing special in that CD bowling attack.

Oram bowled brilliantly yesterday, and other than that, you are completely underrating both Mason (who bowled well) and Thompson (who didn't).  Would take both of them over Hitchcock and Bowden.  Napier was also very good as fourth seamer (looked much better than McKay).  Woodcock bowled well for Wellington, but I think Napier and Oram won it for CD.

That Blackcaps site scoring is a shambles atm. They just shuffled the order around. Dunno who has scored what.

Yeah, it's hopeless. They had Bell opening then at first drop, and now he still hasn't batted apparently.

Not sites fault - scheduled to bat 3, and padded up from the beginning but kept shovelling himself further and further down the order.  Franky batted very well, but sadly did not move the ball in the air at all, which is the key for him bowling wise.

The pitch shouldn't play a big part being a T20 but it looks like a good deck and should play well. Hoping for good pace and bounce. Can tell you more come 5.30pm-ish tomorrow!

Firebirds need to find some winning form. Will be interesting to see who plays with the pitch having a lot of grass on and them preferring three spinners in the line up.

In other news.... SHANE 'THE c**t' WATSON OUT IN THE 90's AGAIN!!!!! HAHA FvCK OFF WAN|<ER!!!!
