So happy for Ross Taylor too. Important batting performance in the second innings, and led the team home with aggressive field settings. Hopefully we see more of it.

Warner zMOTM?????? WTF????

Warner deservedly Man of The Match. Although we won, and Bracewell brought us home superbly, to get 100+ Not Out on that pitch, and almost guide the side home is a brilliant effort.

What about 6 wickets in around 2 hours to win the match?

Nah sorry Bracewell pips him by helping his team to the win. Even the most biased commentators in the world said whoever wins should get it.

I disagree there, you can be the best performer in the match but still be on the losing team.

we disagree then. I think ocxasionally it can happen but when two performances are evenly poised it goes to the one who contributed to a win.

The MOTM was decided through the cricket live app, an app which can only be downloaded in Australia...

IIRC the english test where astle scored 222 thorpe got m.o.m for his 200. Astle's was more impressive but he played on the losing side. I'm sure there are other examples as well, I haven't thought this up myself.

Not that it matters, but choosing the man of the match based on votes from viewers in the country that is playing is just stoopid.

I wasn't sure if that was just a channel nine thing or if it was official - agree, stupid but explains it.

By God, I may have to start watching cricket again. The last time I actually paid attention, Stephen Fleming and Shane Bond were still playing.

Cricket was my first love in sport. I didn't even begin to be interested in football until 5 years ago. If I'm a plastic it's because football seduced me away.

No, it's more to do with the fact you said you haven't bothered paying attention for a number of years now.

Three for me, and two for them.

If you start paying attention again Doloras you will be disappointed, which is something we're all used to but it's the stayers who get to enjoy moments like these.

The real Chopper Reid on twitter:

@MClarke23 decision to play Phil Hughes cost us the test match, you should be ashamed.

Pick the wrong team and pay the price. Shame @MClarke23 f**ken shame.

I must say this, how Warner was man of the match over Bracewell I don't know. It's simply f**ken wrong.

I have to say, 15 years of hurt has been worth it for this.

Three for me, and two for them.

Superb stuff! Goes down as one of our best wins ever.

But, if we had lost, that bloody DRS..... no way that was outside leg. Tim would have been the hero and we wouldn't have had that drama. But it was worth it in the end

Have been bored and enjoying some lite reading...

MOM to the losing side.... Makes sense. I suppose Dougs spell of 6-26 off 9 didn't have any impact.... Wait....#MoreArse

Unbelievable scenes here... Amazing fight shown by the boys... No better feeling than this!!

iainobrien Iain O'Brien
A ton in a loosing side vs a 6 fa in a winning side... Ummmmm. Sure runs were tough, but that's just fu<ken ridiculous...

Andrew_Gourdie Andrew Gourdie
NZ win their first test in Australia since 1985 and Mark Taylor talks to David Warner. Absolutely disgraceful.

Biggest cricket bunny? D Cullinan for Shane Warne or P Hughes for Chris Martin? Vote......now

@AndreAdams: An underarm of a MOTM decision only makes the win BETTER - f**k off, you're out, etc #ausvnz

Wow, what a buzz that was! I don't think I've been as nervous since Coney and Chatfield sneaked us over the line against Pakistan years ago.

Well done Bracewell - a staggering performance. Hilarious too when he did a Ricki during a post-match interview and dropped the f-bomb on live radio.
