Yea the uniforms a dreadful, as are the names of the teams. Sounds like they have all been made up by primary school children.

T20 is by its very nature an exercise in poor taste. Ugly uniforms, ugly team names, ugly slogs across the line....

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

Fair call, it starts at the names and uniforms but where does it end?

Fuck this stupid game

Dravid and Tendulkar.

If your good enough your old enough. They could still be playing at 45.

Sure Ryder could have come out and swung the bat today.

Unforgivable if he plays tomorrow. In fact if he does I'll boo the lazy bastard (and I don't do that lightly)

He pulled a hammy mate, could barely walk off the field. He won't be playing tomorrow.

Fair enough.

How does one do that standing at 2nd slip though. His lack of fitness will (justifiably) be in the spotlight again probably.

I can tell you two things.

a) he trains hard when he does train, even puts in extra work after trainings by himself.

b) another off-field misdemeanor is probably not too far away.

So he trains extra hard to work off some of those empty beer calories he puts away.

When?

If he came in with 3 overs to go needing 15 an over and he couldn't run, or even if he couldn't push for two to really try and force the runs he is more of a hindrance to Boam than a help.  All Patel and McKay needed to do was get enough on it to get off strike, and give Boam the opportunity to win the game himself.

Once they were out, did you want him to come in when they needed 28 off two balls?  What would be the point?

something like that. He's a top man is Jesse so I don't want to out him but I hope he sorts himself out before it's too late. People sure love to hate him.

I think people jump on his weight, but coupled with his casual attitude (he may train hard but he doesn't bad sensibly) and previous off field antics. He kind of has bought it on himself.

Today to a lot of people just seemed to sum him up in a lot of ways I think. Though fair enough he could barely walk.

Aitken,I haven't played cricket for a while, but am sure he'd of been allowed a runner? Of course not with 2 balls to go.

yeah, if that was the case, I would definitely agree with you, and I could see whwere your frustration stems from if you weren't aware that rule changed after the last rules fiddling earlier this year.

Haha it's brilliant isn't it?

Though I'm not a massive fan of the system myself. I also don't like India being above the ICC and making them introduce sides being able to opt out of it.

The way I see it, is that its better than umpiring, so if the money is available, use it. But yes, some more ironic Indian wickets would be great, not enough to lose though...

I used to be quite down on the predictive aspect of the hawkeye type system, but with the way they use it now (built in margin of error, must be completely missing/hitting to overrule the umpire) I am OK with, but coud take or leave that aspect.

I can see no reason why not to use the parts of the system that show 100% what HAS happened (where it has pitched/hit batsman, hotspot, snicko...) to check for facts.aitkenmike2011-12-29 16:22:08
