Derek - Ricky Gervais' new show is absolutely brilliant. Very morbid/sad/depressing yet hilariously funny. Can find it with a quick "watch derek" search on Google.

I watched it first time around a few years ago.  It's so good that I bought on DVD.  Stay frosty.  We're Oscar Mike.

Am watching The Americans.

I found The Walking Dead at Marbecks today. Season 1 & 2 on blu-ray. $80 though, a bit steep. I'm quite getting into Banshee too but I've missed a couple of episodes. Sunny Skies on TV3 is pretty bloody good too.

I've been watching the Following. I quite like it, dare I say even Kevin Bacon.

Anyone else going to watch Doctor Who at The Embassy tonight?

Youtube is triffic.

Thanks to Stevo's deluded optimism in trying to succeed where Guderian failed I have stumbled across the old BBC War and Peace series (with a young Anthony Hopkins and the radiant Morag Hood - RIP).

A old time favourite and the Imperial Russian anthem as the theme music is brill

Sorry to be popularist but what a great episode of The Walking Dead?

Still not my fav show of all time, that would go to A Very Peculiar Practice  but it's pretty close  The Walking Dead is friggin amazing.

edit any Doctor Who fans??

This is good even though Sue Lawley is a pain in the arse.

The respect between Patrick Troughton and Jon Pertwee is evident. Also the lovely Verity Lambert. Peter Davison one of the most underrated Doctors.

Includes a tiny clip when the Cybermen where actually badass. God how I hate they way the new doctors adventures have treated the best Doctor Who Villain - they miss the whole point of the Cybermen

Wow - that is a blast from the past.  Greta Getowski (grrrrrr) - whenever I saw the Harry and Chums skit of the Polish Cafe I think of her.

I think the Green Wing was better.  It seems almost too farcical to be true but really it's not too far off the medical profession.

On Maori TV "Jesus Christ SUperstar" is on at the moment.  Saw this back in the day and had the soundtrack which was thrashed mercilessly.

Watching it now I just think of Life of Brian.

(but the MP40s were pretty cool)

AVPP was so dark in places that for me it beats GW anyday.

Watching "Secret Agent Miss Oh" on Ch 29.  It is in Korean with English sub-titles which is unusual as the K-dramas mostly are dubbed into Mandarin.

I do heart Lee Soo-Kyung.

watched the first couple of episodes of The Following.  It is a TV version mixture of Seven and Silence of the Lambs, and it is somehow an equal measure of good and shit - I think if you just don't try to take it seriously it is enjoyable.  The Bacon is always fun to watch.

Up to episode 8, and it has rapidly become the greatest/worst television show ever created.  I can't stop watching it.  I need help.

While waiting for "Secret Agent Miss Oh" I watched CCTV 9's "Travelogue" hosted by UK huaqiao He Tianran.  His mannerisms and way of talking were very Bear Grylls-ish, but without the twuntyness.

A nice change from the earnest reporters/presenters that usually grace CCTV 9.

Managed to get through all 15 episodes in series 1 - oh my god.  It was such a pile of bollocks that I became quite additcted, watching up to 3 episodes a night and then getting the sicks when I was deprieved of it.  I give it 2 thumbs up.

Last episode tonight.  Thoroughly enjoyable.
Want to see more of Lee Soo-Kyung, but also very good performances from Yang Geum Suk and Kang Shin Il.
Park Hyo Joo is a cutie too.

Choice TV has a nature programme on now.  Watching giant Jap hornets raid a bee hive.

30,000 bees dead after a 3 hour attack by 30 hornets.

Amazing footage.

Very excited. If anyone can suss out a dodgy website to watch it on, I'll be even more excited and love you forever.

Download a Chrome extension called Mediahint to allow you to access Netflix from outside the US, and then subscribe to the one month free trial on Netflix to watch it.

I just watched the first episode this way, and it was fantastic. Great to have AD back.
